Privacy Policy for SoulWake

1. Introduction

Welcome to SoulWake. This Privacy Policy explains how SoulWake and its integrated third-party services collect, use, and handle information when you use the application.

2. Data We Collect and How We Use It

SoulWake requests permissions to provide the features you choose to use. Optional permissions can be managed through your device settings.

Alarm Data and Settings

Your alarms, preferences, and related app settings are stored locally on your device using Android storage mechanisms, including Room Database and DataStore.

Location Data

SoulWake uses approximate or precise location to support features such as prayer-time calculations and Trip Tracker arrival alerts.

During an active trip, SoulWake monitors your location to determine your proximity to a destination. This monitoring may continue while the application is in the background, using a foreground service with a notification.

Place searches, routing requests, and map loading may transmit search terms, relevant coordinates or map-area information, and network information such as your IP address to external mapping providers. These providers process information under their own privacy policies and retention practices.

SoulWake does not operate a developer-controlled server for storing your movement history. Saved destinations and related settings may remain locally on your device.

Health Data

With your permission, SoulWake reads step-count and distance information from Health Connect to display activity summaries on supported wake screens and app widgets.

Health Connect records are processed locally on your device. SoulWake does not send these records to advertising or analytics providers, sell them, or use them for advertising, advertising personalization, or profiling.

You can revoke SoulWake’s access through Health Connect at any time. Revoking access does not delete the underlying records stored in Health Connect.

Screen-Time Information

If you grant Usage Access permission, SoulWake can read device usage information to display screen-time summaries. SoulWake processes these summaries locally and does not intentionally send them to advertising or analytics providers.

Spotify Integration

If you choose to use Spotify features, SoulWake communicates with Spotify to authorize access, search for content, and control playback. This may involve authorization information, search terms, and selected music or playlist identifiers.

SoulWake does not receive your Spotify password. Spotify processes information according to its Privacy Policy.

3. Advertising, Analytics, and Third-Party Services

Google AdMob

SoulWake displays banner advertisements using Google AdMob.

The Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and share information including:

• IP addresses, which may be used to estimate general location.

• Device and advertising identifiers, including the Android Advertising ID when available.

• App and advertisement interactions.

• Diagnostic information, such as performance and error information.

Google and its advertising partners may use this information to provide and measure advertisements, personalize advertising where permitted, perform analytics, and prevent fraud or abuse.

Advertising personalization depends on applicable requirements, your consent choices, and service settings. Where required, SoulWake presents privacy choices before requesting advertisements. You can review or change these choices through Settings → Ad privacy choices when that option is available.

SoulWake does not provide Health Connect records to AdMob or use those records to target advertisements.

Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics

SoulWake uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand app usage and feature interactions, and Firebase Crashlytics to investigate crashes and technical failures.

These services may process app-instance or installation identifiers, device and operating-system information, app interaction events, and crash diagnostics. Interaction events may include actions such as creating, snoozing, or dismissing an alarm and starting a trip.

Information associated with device or installation identifiers is not necessarily anonymous. Google processes and retains this information according to the applicable service settings, terms, and privacy practices.

Other Disclosures

SoulWake does not sell Health Connect records or saved alarm data. Information may be disclosed when necessary to comply with applicable law or respond to a valid legal request.

Third-party services may process information on servers outside your country of residence, subject to their applicable terms and privacy practices.

4. Data Security

SoulWake uses Android’s application storage and permission mechanisms to protect locally stored data. Access also depends on your device security, operating-system protections, and the permissions you grant.

Information transmitted to integrated services uses the security mechanisms provided by the application and those services. No method of electronic storage or transmission can guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention, Deletion, and Your Choices

SoulWake does not require a SoulWake account. However, integrated services such as Google and Spotify may process information separately from data stored locally by SoulWake.

You can manage your information in the following ways:

• Local App Data: Delete local SoulWake data by clearing the application’s storage or uninstalling it. Clearing storage removes your saved alarms and settings.

• Health Connect: Revoke SoulWake’s access or manage underlying health records through Health Connect. Clearing SoulWake’s data does not delete Health Connect records.

• Location and Usage Permissions: Revoke permissions through Android settings. Features that depend on those permissions may stop working.

• Advertising Choices: Use Ad privacy choices in SoulWake where available, and manage advertising privacy controls through your device settings.

• Exported Backups: If you export a backup, the file remains in the location you selected until you delete it. Uninstalling SoulWake does not automatically delete exported files.

• Third-Party Data: Clearing or uninstalling SoulWake does not automatically delete information already processed by Google, Spotify, or mapping providers. Their retention and deletion practices are governed by their policies and applicable settings.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our features, integrated services, or data practices change. We will publish the revised policy and update its effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent.
