Google Authentication Data: When you sign in using Google Login, we collect your basic profile information provided by Google, including your name, email address, and unique user ID. This information is used strictly to create, authenticate, and secure your account.
Personal Diary Cloud Sync: Any text you explicitly save to your personal diary are securely uploaded and stored in our cloud database (Firebase Firestore) so you can access them across your devices.
SoulBook values local-first privacy. The following data categories are processed and stored exclusively in your device's secure local storage:
Mood Logs & Habit Tracker Data: Your daily moods and habit tracking records.
Wishlist Tasks: Your lists and goals, whether saved in text format or as local audio recordings.
Event Calendar: Dates and reminders you configure inside the app.
Note: This local data remains on your physical device and is not accessible by us or uploaded to our cloud servers.
To provide core features, the App requires the following Android system permissions:
Notification Permission: Used to deliver routine reminders for habit tracking, tasks, and mood logging.
Alarm / Schedule Exact Alarm Permission: Used specifically for the Event Calendar to ensure critical alerts trigger precisely when scheduled.
Microphone / Audio Recording Permission: Required only if you choose to record audio entries for your Wishlist or Personal Diary. Audio is processed on-device and only uploaded to Firebase if it forms part of a cloud-synced Diary entry.
We use the collected data for the following essential purposes:
To authenticate your identity and provide secure account access via Google Sign-In.
To provide, maintain, and synchronize your Personal Diary using Firebase Firestore.
To trigger local system notifications and precise alarms according to your application configurations.
To maintain and optimize app stability and security.
We utilize trusted third-party infrastructure components to deliver account security and cloud storage. These services process your data in compliance with their respective privacy standards:

Local Data: Remains on your device until you clear the app cache, delete the app data, or uninstall SoulBook.
Cloud Data: Your Google authentication data and Personal Diary entries are kept in Firebase Firestore for as long as your account remains active.
SoulBook does not currently contain advertisements.
SoulBook does not currently include premium or paid features. If monetization or third-party ad networks are introduced in the future, this policy will be updated to reflect those data processors.
You retain full control over your personal data. You have the right to access, update, or completely wipe out your data.
In-App Management: You can modify or delete your diary entries directly inside the App interface at any time.
Complete Account Deletion: If you wish to delete your account entirely and permanently wipe all your authenticated profiles and synced diary entries from our Firebase servers, you may request account deletion by contacting us directly at [Insert Support Email]. Upon request, all cloud-hosted data linked to your Google User ID will be completely destroyed within 30 days.
SoulBook does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and become aware that your child has provided us with personal data without your consent, please contact us so we can swiftly remove that information from our servers.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any modifications will be posted directly on this page with an updated "Effective Date." We encourage users to review this policy periodically to stay informed.
