VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Thrivent Grants

Thrivent Grants are requested immediately to fund various parts of VBS:

--> Snacks, Craft Supplies/Kits, Science Supplies, Decorating items, Keepsake

Snacks Prep & Serve

A Lead and assistants to prepare fun kids-style snacks and serve at 6:20pm each night (Sun.-Thurs.)

Utilize themed snack from provided guide. Sing-A-Long also occurs with snack time.

Note snack time is short and noisy in the style of children and typical of school meals.

Bible Storytellers

A Lead and assistant(s) to utilize prepared leader guide material to share the focus bible story each night.

Includes bible passage, relatable real-life scenarios, easy activities, and Q&A.

Note youth are active beings, and desire to be engaging through encouraging discussion and interaction.

Crafts

A Lead and assistants to lead youth in constructing crafts to help connect to the bible theme for the day.

Utilize themed crafts from provided guide with supplied material lists, or utilize purchased craft kits.

Note some crafts are better suited to certain age groups and all require light preparation of materials.

Science

A Lead and assistants to lead youth in demonstrating simple science experiements to help connect to the

bible theme for the day. Utilize themed crafts from provided guide with supplied material lists.

Note some experiments are better suited to certain age groups and all require light preparation of materials.

Shepherds

Individuals to work closely with a specific group of youth to shepherd them through the activities each day.

Requires hands-on leading of youth, including ensuring bathroom breaks are taken and youth are safe.

Assists in the activities at each station to help guide Station Leader in the abilities and such of each youth.

Individuals to run the AV activities during Opening Assembly and Closing Assembly, including sound,

videos, and slides.

Materials

Individuals to bring in various specific supplies for science, craft, and game activities.

Most needed area small water bottles and Juice pouches/boxes/barrels.

Older Youth / Assembly

Individuals to help lead Opening and Closing Assembly by acting in speaking role, running puppets, learning
