Soroush Marouzi
Assistant Professor of Philosophy
Fashion Institute of Technology, State University of New York
I'm a historian and philosopher of science. My research focuses on theories of rationality in philosophy, politics, and economics. As a historian, I study the transdisciplinary debates on rationality that emerged in the wake of the Great War in Britain. As a philosopher, I build upon my historical research to explore the epistemology of agency and economic rationality.
I received my PhD from the University of Toronto in 2024 and subsequently served as a Research Scholar at the Center for the History of Political Economy at Duke University in 2024-2025.
In Fall 2025, I teach courses on ethics and business ethics at FIT.
I enjoy watching and playing soccer, listening to post-rock music, reading short stories and poetry, and dreaming of a better world with my friends at the Fly-Bottle.
