Our Staff

Dr. Doi

I graduated from a veterinary college in Japan. I worked in the largest animal hospital in Yaizu, Shizuoka, Japan. I had day shifts and also weekly overnight emergency shifts there.

I had excellent learning opportunities at the hospital. We had morning rounds every early morning, presenting and discussing about clinical cases for the best medicine. The hospital frequently invited renowned specialists in a variety of veterinary fields, such as a Radiologist, Oncologist, Ophthalmologist, Dentist, and Exotic specialist. I had excellent experience to work with them and learned advanced medicine.

I am especially interested in Radiology, Cardiology and Oncology, particularly Chemotherapy. I decided to learn more advanced medicine in the States. I jumped into veterinary continuing education programs at Veterinary Colleges of Oklahoma State University, Kansas State University, Purdue University, and then coming back to Kansas State University. Subsequently I took and passed the veterinary licensure exam and got the US license. I moved to California and worked for a small animal practice in Inland Empire and South Bay LA. I wanted to practice Veterinary Medicine in the way I believe right for Pets and Pet Parents, so I opened Sora Animal Hospital in 2023.

Lately, I have been spending my free time by playing a fitness video game, eating out at Ramen restaurants, and attending veterinary educational events. I am happy I moved to the Orange County. I love beautiful trails and friendly people walking lovely dogs here. There are so many Ramen restaurants I cannot finish trying out. I also love the cultural diversity, and I enjoy taking care of a variety of adorable pets here!!
