SCHOOL BACKGROUND

• The school was established on 01/01/1992 during the back-to-school campaign advocated by the late   President Nelson Mandela and is governed by the Department of Education, Eastern Cape Province.

• The school is situated along convenient transport route at Nkobongo Street NU 9 Motherwell.

• The school is situated along-side RDP and squatter camps residential area.

• This area is well known for escalating crime, drug-abuse, teenage pregnancy, poverty and many other social ills.

• The school receives learners by admitting learners from the surrounding Primary schools from the previously disadvantaged community of Motherwell.

• Most of our learners are parented by parents who rely on government grants, are unemployed and single parents.
