Sophie Yan Wang

I am a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at the University of Oregon and will be on the job market for the 2025–2026 academic year. My research lies in applied macroeconomics, with a focus on monetary policy, regional and international macroeconomics, and business cycle dynamics. I am particularly interested in applying time-series and Bayesian econometric methods for analysis and forecasting.

Beyond academia, I have served on multiple committees within the Corvallis School District and currently serve as a trustee of the Corvallis Public Schools Foundation. In my free time, I enjoy visiting museums, exploring bookstores, and playing tennis and pickleball with my husband and two daughters.
