SOPHIE SMITH

A passion for art and design has been present in my life since I was a child. I continued to be passionate and practice my skills throughout my childhood and teenage years. My interests weren’t limited to a specific type of art.

Starting as a traditional artist but then becoming a graphic designer has also made my skill set adaptable and well suited to find creative solutions to work out potential design roadblocks.

My art and design work is an outlet for social commentary. Many of my pieces relate to archetypes of people, subculture, story-telling, and works of satire. My work relates to my experiences with harsh sexism being a young female growing up in southwest Appalachia.
