Pia is a versatile professional with extensive experience in the arts and education. Currently, she is a senior member at PETA (Philippine Educational Theater Association) and a full-time freelance teacher, visual artist and designer. Pia began her theater journey with her first PETA workshop in 2014, followed by enrolling in Basic Acting in 2018, and has since worked as a freelance actor in film, TV, and theater.
As a dedicated trainer-facilitator for Jollibee Kids Party Hosts and Assistants, Pia has also led numerous Integrated Theater Arts workshops for both children and adults.
In the improv scene, Pia has performed at the Manila Improv Festival 2023, the Singapore Improv Festival 2022, and the Vietnam Improv Festival 2023. She is passionate about comedy and character acting.
Her writing credits include BAKA SAKALI (Just Maybe), a short independent film that was an audience choice finalist at the Lift-Off Filmmaker Sessions Film Festival in March 2023, and MOMSILOGUES, co-written with Zoe Damag and staged during PETA’s Control Shift: Changing Narratives. She contributed as a dramaturg for the play Identité in the recent CCP Virgin Lab Fest 19.
Beyond her work in theater and film, Pia is an accomplished events emcee and visual artist. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design from Assumption College and a Master's Degree in Education from St. Joseph's College. Pia is also a licensed professional teacher.
