About me
My work focuses on bringing lived and learned experiences together to identify meaningful and achievable improvements for services, programs and organisations that support the public.
My work can include several aspects:
Working closely with people with lived and living experience of multiple social injustices including homelessness, drug use, contact with the criminal justice system, domestic abuse and violence, exploitation, discrimination and poverty in a trauma informed way.
Using creative and inclusive methods to involve people with lived experience in research and evaluation processes.
Collaboration and co-production with partners and stakeholders.
Developing and delivering bespoke peer researcher training .
In additon to my practice as an independent social researcher I am undertaking a PhD with the University of Staffordshire. My PhD focuses on understanding peoples experiences of going through the suicide risk assessment process in primary care and works closely with people with lived and living experience of suicidal thoughts, feelings and behaviours.
