If you want a versatile home audio transmitter that bridges the gap between legacy TVs and modern wireless headphones, choose SOOMFON Dual Antenna; if you need durable, child-safe over-ear headphones designed specifically for small ears, choose JBUNION Dinosaur Toddlers Headphones.
These two products serve entirely different ecosystems. One is a stationary hub for your living room entertainment setup, while the other is a mobile companion for a growing child's daily adventures. I have analyzed the specifications, connectivity options, and design intent of both to help you make a decision without getting lost in marketing fluff. The choice isn't about which one has more features, but rather which tool solves your specific problem: connecting non-Bluetooth devices or protecting young hearing during screen time.
• SOOMFON Dual Antenna: Its biggest strength is the dual-antenna Bluetooth 5.3 architecture that ensures stable transmission up to 20 meters, making it ideal for large rooms. Its trade-off is that it is a fixed accessory, not wearable audio, requiring a power source and cable connections to function.
• JBUNION Dinosaur Toddlers Headphones: Its standout feature is the 85dB volume limit that actively protects developing ears, combined with a lightweight dinosaur design that appeals directly to children aged 2–10. Its trade-off is that it lacks active noise cancellation and relies on passive isolation, meaning loud environments might still be heard.
• Who each pick is for: Buy the SOOMFON if you are an adult trying to stream audio from an old TV to multiple pairs of headphones. Choose the JBUNION if you are a parent looking for the best open ear headphones for small ears that won't hurt their hearing or fall off their head.
The SOOMFON Dual Antenna is built for the homeowner who wants to modernize an aging audio system without buying new electronics. This device acts as a bridge, allowing you to connect non-Bluetooth devices like older televisions, home stereos, or MP3 players to your favorite wireless headphones or speakers. It utilizes Bluetooth 5.3 technology paired with a dual-antenna design, which is a significant engineering choice. This setup is explicitly intended to reduce interference and ensure stronger signal stability compared to single-antenna competitors. In practical terms, this means you can walk around your house—up to 15 meters away in transmitter mode or even further in receiver mode—without experiencing audio dropouts or stuttering.

What makes this unit particularly useful for families is its ability to handle dual connections simultaneously. You can pair two sets of headphones or speakers at once, allowing you to watch a movie late at night without disturbing anyone else in the house, or simply share audio with a partner. The automatic reconnection feature means you don't have to fiddle with pairing buttons every time you turn the device back on; it remembers the last two paired devices and jumps right back into action when they come within range. The inclusion of an LCD display adds a layer of user-friendliness, showing real-time status updates so you know exactly what is happening with your connection and volume levels without guessing.
However, this product is not for everyone. If you are looking for a portable solution to wear on your head while running errands, this is not it. It is a desktop or shelf-bound component that requires a wired connection to your audio source via optical fiber, 3.5mm AUX, or RCA cables. It also requires a constant power source via the included USB-C cable. Furthermore, while it supports stereo output, it is not designed for live music performance or karaoke, as latency and synchronization requirements differ significantly from those use cases. It is strictly a tool for streaming pre-recorded content from a source to your listening devices.
The JBUNION Dinosaur Toddlers Headphones are engineered with one primary goal: safety and comfort for young children. These headphones address a critical concern for parents—the risk of hearing damage from high-volume media consumption. By capping the volume at a safe 85dB, these headphones automatically restrict loud sounds, ensuring that even if a child turns the volume to the maximum on their tablet or phone, the output remains within a safe range for developing ears. This feature alone makes them a superior choice for kids aged 2 to 10, especially those who tend to crank up the volume when watching videos or playing games.
Beyond safety, the physical design is tailored specifically for smaller heads. The adjustable headband and ultra-soft ear cushions are designed to stay snug without applying pressure, which is a common complaint with standard adult-sized headphones. They are lightweight, weighing only 95 grams, which prevents neck strain during long sessions of travel or play. The Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity provides a stable link up to 33 feet, giving a toddler enough freedom to move around the room or car without losing the audio connection. Additionally, the inclusion of a 3.5mm wired jack offers a fallback option for devices that might not support Bluetooth, ensuring versatility across iPads, tablets, and older media players.
The playful aesthetic is another key factor. The unit comes with four random dinosaur models, turning the headphones into a fun gift rather than just a piece of tech. While they feature passive noise cancellation to help block out some ambient noise, they do not offer active noise cancellation (ANC). This means they will not electronically cancel out engine noise or crying babies, but they do provide a decent seal to focus attention on the content. They are rechargeable, offering up to 20 hours of playtime, which is substantial enough for long flights or road trips. However, parents should note that the battery takes two hours to charge fully, so planning ahead is necessary if the device runs out of juice during a trip.

In my opinion, if you are shopping for a headset for a child, there is no debate: the JBUNION Dinosaur Toddlers Headphones are the clear winner. The 85dB volume limit is a non-negotiable safety feature that gives peace of mind, and the design truly fits the "best open ear headphones for small ears" criteria better than any generic adult model. It is built to survive the rough handling of a toddler while keeping their hearing safe. Conversely, if you are trying to solve a problem in your living room where your TV doesn't have Bluetooth, the SOOMFON Dual Antenna is the only logical choice. It solves a technical compatibility issue that no headphone can fix. Ultimately, these products answer two completely different questions, but for the specific need of finding a headset for a child, the JBUNION is the one I would buy and recommend.
