Purpose of the Lesson

This lesson is one that stems from Social Studies 8 Unit 2: Geographic Influences.

Here, you will learn about what the site and situation are of a location. You will learn about the varied factors associated with site and situation and how these factors affect people's decisions to settle there. Finally, you will learn about how the site and situation of a location explain the growth (or lack of growth) of settlements and the community.
