@NathanielSJ Hi to be honest I don't have any issues with the shape or look of the app icons themselves it's the fact that I have to put up with them all being crammed on just the one Home Screen! I always had them sorted into certain groups ie, music apps only on one page and Google apps only on the next and so on. I loved the themes and how much you could personalise the look overall too.

@Strampke Hi thanks for the information and suggestions Can you explain though why I don't have the same issue with my Samsung Galaxy Tablet (Android 11) if as you say it is down to Google? The disappearance of the themes is the second thing that I really miss with the first still being the disablement of the page transitions where I used to have about three pages with my app icons in specific groups.

@Strampke Hi thanks for the quick response. I already have the folders and the groups on different screens. It's the original page transitions that I really miss (along with the themes) where I had an uncluttered Home Screen instead of the cluttered 3 or 4 screen pages I have now... I know you and a couple others on here have suggested trying different launchers but for some reason I can't take to them although I have tried a couple in the past.

I have Sony Xperia M,after the last udate(android 4.3) there was a lot of changes,one of them has to do with the themes.Sony select give you the posibility to choose themes.Even thought,I try it a lot of times and it doesn't work.Do you have any idea,what can I do to change successfully my theme?

The themes of android 4.2.2 is not present in android 4.3

nor I can find it in the internet.. i.e Quartz, Silk, Sapphire, Amber, Ruby & Amethyst.. these all are very sober themes.. and it is missing with that the personalization of settings is all White.. instead of Black

The screen is sharp and vibrant, and Sony has really worked hard at adding to Android without overpowering the operating system - by including things such as helpful lock screen tweaks, themes, small apps, shortcut icons and packaging DLNA up (renaming it 'throwing') to make it user-friendly.

I own the xperia z and rx100. Though it's clear xperia z camera is far far far from the excellent quality of my rx100, it wasn't as bad as it appears to be in this test. Mine was the newest firmware, and under bright lights they gave pleasing details, colour rendition and high DR for a camera phone. Albeit the video quality was soft compared to the amazing RX100 video capability, it's not THAT shabby. So I really don't know what you are talking about when you refer this as 'horrible' in terms of IQ. It certainly look comparable to iphone 5 photo quality in general lighting conditions.

I supposed if you measure quality with numbers like the DXO indices, then xperia z comes up short. But look at real world comparison. One notable reviewer from Australia (his youtube name is blunty3000) made a side by side comparison.
