The phone is supplied by my employer, so when I got it last summer I set it up at work. At first it connected just fine like my old phone, but after one of the many updates it went through after unboxing it stopped connecting. At first I thought it was a bug with the WiFi as a whole, but since then I've been able to connect to any open and private WiFi I've had access to.

Being back at the office now since COVID restrictions are lifted, I'd like for the phone to connect to the WiFi. I've tried all typed of reset sans the entire phone, and verified the WiFi settings with IT.

When attempting to connect the phone runs through a series of "Connecting.... Saved", then halts at "Saved" for a short time before trying again and says "Disabled". After a few minutes goes through the same process.

Hi there, does anyone have a problem with connecting to mobile data? As soon as i leave home i can't connect at all, i tried airplane mode on and off and nothing helps. dont know if its network or device issue. anyone had a similar problem?

If other devices besides your smartphone are having connection problems with the Wi-Fi network, it's possible that the router has an issue in rare instances. You can perform a simple router reset by unplugging it, leaving it unplugged for one minute, and plugging it back in. This procedure will reset and restart the router, potentially solving the issue. Also, note that on rare occasions, your network provider might be experiencing network disturbances, so check your internet provider's website if other devices besides your phone are affected.

I have tried everything that every source I can find has suggested: enabled developer mode and usb debugging (and stay awake while plugged in), I installed the USB drivers and even tried the xperia x specific usb drivers, I have tried all the different connection modes (MTP and PTP, for some reason couldnt find MSC). And yet my phone doesnt show up in the list of devices on android studio.

Setting the USB mode isn't good enough. USB debugging must be enabled to allow adb to connect to the phone. This probably states the obvious but for me it took a while reading through these comments and wondering why adb doesn't connect. make sure your developer mode is active on the phone and "Developer Options" -> "USB debugging" is enabled.

Windows:Now at least I found it on device manager listed under "Other devices" - for my Xperia Tablet Z it was SGP311 of course. Just unplug and plug back in, if you are not sure, which device it is. Go back to the sony drivers page:

Now it worked for me and the device is no longer listed under "other devices". Make sure to authorize your computer for debugging on the sony device.Just unlock the Sony Xperia and you will have to accept the prompt to pair with the computer.

Yesterday i updated my Sony Xperia XZ to the 7.1.1 version of android nougat. Previously I didn't had any problems with my internet connection except some wifi problems because i wasn't able to connect to my own wifi router (other phones can do that but my not) and i still have that problem after update , but after that update i can't even connect to mobile data so away from home im basically without any connection to internet..

I have had my Experia phone for several years but only now have experienced the inability to get internet service. Because of it, since June I have not been receiving email messages, not able to upgrad some of my apps, etc. My IT folks at work have told me I need to take it to an expert who can see what has gone wrong with the phone. Usually, my own IT folks have been able to solve any problem I've brought to them but not this time. Seems like something went wrong with this capacity of the phone at some point.

Today i used the sony update service program because i had other issue with my phone and now i've got some problem with my usb. When i connect my cellphone on my computer on the usb it keep connecting/disconnecting by itself. I tried with a new usb wire and on my other computer and i've got the same issue.

well actually im out of luck. I tought my problem was resolved but out of nowhere after something like 30minutes the telephone disconected by itself (i didnt even moved the cellphone) and now im back with the same connection/disconnection problem when im connected with a usb wire.

That is odd, however with the connection issue we cant even look at a driver problem and as such I can only advise that you speak with your local Xperia Care team regarding having an assessment performed.

Things that could be affected - Any gadgets you have connected via bluetooth like a Smartwatch or smartband - The app in question gives access to the settings of the connected devices in which you can setup what your phone does when these devices are connected - If you have nothing connected then disabling will have no effect on your phones performance

Sony Xperia devices and mobile devices using Android 10 or later support DUALSHOCK 4 wireless controller Bluetooth connections. Once connected, you can use your wireless controller to control compatible games and applications via Bluetooth.

I bought an Xperia XA2 and installed Sailfish for Xperia beta 3.0.3.10. All went well except that, most of the time, I cannot connect to the mobile network (Cricket in USA). It look unavailable but at some point, it briefly connected by itself and then it disconnected again. I know that because I received tow text messages from the carrier. I double checked with the carrier and I do not have to register the IMEI with them. Later, I read some threads and somebody suggested I go in utilities and restart the network, which I did, and indeed it worked, once. Mobile network worked for a while, I was able to make calls, but some Android applications (Wire, Protonmail) did not connect to internet although other Android applications (fennec, redreader) connected to internet well. So I decided to restart the phone again and from that point I was not able to connect to the mobile network no matter how many times I restarted the network from utilities. I have tried to select the mobile network manually and the phone displayed six options "cricket", after a slow process, and none of them worked.Does anybody have any suggestion?

Did you make sure that the mobile data and connections worked fine on stock rom Android installed on your XA2? If you have dual sim XA2 try to enable and disable second sim, sometimes that helps if the whole connection element is greyed out as not working

the first advice for xperia xa2 dual works. I have this problem, the status bar disappears, when then phone is in power saving mode (for example after restarting), there is no status bar on the screen. But also no network, and I must charge the phone to some capacity, remove from charger and then the status bar is on. But the mobile network is still not login in - even 4G or 3G. It seems, that you can restart or turn off the phone many times and nothing happens, when the status bar dissapear. Also changing airplane mode or switching 3g to 4G and vice versa is useless. I use patches "no home carousel", "hide Word suggestions" and "wider spacebar". No I charge the phone to full capacity, restart without charging cable, status bar is on, and then I try to switch SIM cards on/off. It works, but I hope this bug will be removed. I turn off the power saving mode and wait for next battery low time.

I have this same problem too. My XA2 dual sim phone is also rebooting itself quite often after 3.1 update. When I turn of the Android support, mobile connection is working immediately. And it keeps working. Rebooting problem is also gone. If I want to use Android apps and turn the Android support on, problems will start again.

If you're not seeing an option to add Quest 3 in your app, make sure you're updated and then fully close your Meta Quest app. Then reopen the app and try adding your Quest 3 again. Also, please note that you need to have Bluetooth and sharing with nearby devices enabled in order to connect with your headset.

Dear. Meta & Everyone

I bought Quest3 on the day it was released and still had the same problem.

(Xperia5 IV)

I thought it was strange because I entered the pairing code many times and still could not connect, so I reviewed my WiFi environment.

Xperia was connected at 2.4GHz and Quest3 at 5GHz, so I changed the router settings to 5GHz only and tried again, and pairing worked.

(Sorry, my English is not very good, so I am translating at DeepL)

Thank you for everything.

Hi everyone, I've updated the original post with the steps we've seen working for Xperia devices. If you're using a different mobile device and are having trouble connecting, please feel free to give them a try as well. Our team is actively looking into cases where this is happening to find commonalities in setup and device so they can get it resolved.

Only if you plan to leave USB devices connected (and then it would depend on their nominal current draw). However, it should be possible to blacklist particular devices. An easier way might be to instal TLP (power management utility), as all the configuration can be done via simple edits to /etc/default/tlp

 -configuration.html#usb

(and in my specific case, connection not working on the Xperia 10iii when roaming abroad, the problems got solved by flashing Android 11 / 62.0.A.9.11 with newsflasher, the reflashing Sailfish from a dd backup. Other people have also reported success with 62.0.A.3.107)

I guess there is some serious issue with the SIM slot management. I have a single SIM in slot 1 and an SD card in slot 2. If I have both slots on, I get the 4G indication but no data connectivity. If I turn off slot 2, 4G goes off even if slot 1 is still on. Turning slot 2 on again, 4G comes back.

Before throwing the device out of the window, I decided to use it to carry out some tests.

Same SIM in other devices: works (of course).

Other SIM in same device: does not work (but can get some kind of connection since the other provider, unlike Vodafone, provides an IPv4 address).

Same SIM in same device on Android: works.

Downgraded to 4.4.0.64, then upgraded again to 4.4.0.68: does not work.

Reflashed to latest Android 11, then to SFOS again: does not work.

Upgraded SFOS to 4.4.0.68: does not work. ff782bc1db
