If you want a comfortable, long-running on-ear wireless headset for commuting, choose Sony WH-CH520L; if you need compact, water-resistant earbuds for commuting, choose TOZO T10.
That is the central trade-off: the Sony favors simple everyday listening, multipoint Bluetooth and up to 50 hours of headphone battery life, while the TOZO favors a pocketable in-ear fit, IPX8 water resistance and up to 55 hours of total playtime with its case.
For a typical commute, I would pick the Sony unless earbuds are a must. The TOZO is the more practical choice for rain, workouts or carrying in a small bag, but its playtime figure includes the charging case rather than one continuous charge.
That is the central trade-off: Sony emphasizes everyday listening, multipoint Bluetooth and up to 50 hours of battery life. TOZO offers a compact in-ear design, IPX8 water resistance and up to 55 hours of total playtime with its charging case.
For a typical commute, I would lean toward Sony unless you specifically prefer earbuds. TOZO makes more sense if rain, sweat or pocketable storage matters more than an over-ear-style headband.

Bluetooth multipoint is useful if you regularly move between two connected devices, such as a phone and a computer.

I would choose it for someone who wants a headband-style wireless headset for commuting and expects to listen for long stretches. The built-in microphone and call controls can also be handy when a call comes in on the way to work. I would skip it if you need a very small item to tuck away, want the water-resistance information stated in the product details, or strongly prefer earbuds. The available facts describe sound isolation, not a specific active noise-cancellation feature, so I would not buy it expecting that.
The TOZO T10 takes the opposite approach: small, in-ear earbuds with a compact charging case. Multiple ear-tip sizes are included to help adjust the fit, and the product is described as ergonomically shaped. That makes it a plausible option for someone who wants to carry a wireless headset for commuting without wearing a headband. Fit is personal, though, so an in-ear design is a poor match if earbuds tend to bother your ears.
Its strongest practical distinction is IPX8 water resistance. TOZO says the earbuds are designed to handle exposure to sweat and raindrops, which makes them more suited to wet commutes and exercise than the Sony based on the information provided. The case supports wireless charging, and the listed battery life is up to 15 hours from one charge, with up to 55 hours total when using the case. Those figures are not equivalent: the larger number includes recharging from the case over time.
The TOZO app offers 32 EQ modes and lets you adjust touch controls, giving listeners more ways to tailor sound and operation. Bluetooth 5.3 and a listed range of up to 15 meters round out the connectivity details. I would consider it for someone who wants earbuds for walking, cycling, commuting or workouts and values water protection. I would pass if I wanted a headband, multipoint connection is important, or I needed a quick-charge time stated as a specific short top-up. The supplied details do not give one for the T10.
Side-by-Side: Which Should You Choose?
• Best for long listening from the headphones themselves → Sony WH-CH520L. Its listed battery life is up to 50 hours. TOZO lists up to 15 hours per charge, with more listening available through the case.
• Best for a rain-prone commute → TOZO T10. It has an IPX8 rating; the Sony details do not specify water resistance.
• Best for an app-based EQ selection → TOZO T10. Its app offers 32 EQ modes and adjustable touch settings. Sony also has app EQ settings, but the details do not give a count of modes.
• Best for a quick battery rescue → Sony WH-CH520L. A three-minute charge is specified to give up to 1.5 hours of listening.
• Best for a compact carry setup → TOZO T10. Its earbuds come with a charging case described as compact and lightweight.
• Best if you prefer on-ear headphones → Sony WH-CH520L. Its adjustable headband and ear pads suit a headband-style fit; TOZO sits in the ear.
• Best for a wet-weather workout commute → TOZO T10. Its water-resistance feature is a clear advantage for sweat and rain, while Sony’s listed strengths are battery life and everyday controls.
Some shoppers search for the best fast charging kids headphones for commuting. Of these two, Sony is the one with a stated quick-charge benefit, but the provided details do not establish either product as specifically designed for children. I would compare fit and supervision needs rather than assume the quick-charge feature makes it a dedicated kids’ pick.
Likewise, the phrase best IPX7 waterproof wireless earbuds for commuting points toward a water-resistant in-ear option, but the TOZO T10 is listed as IPX8, not IPX7. Sony’s provided specifications do not state an IP rating. If protection from water is a deciding factor, that distinction makes TOZO the clearer fit between these two.
Sound preferences are harder to settle from the listed features alone. Sony offers DSEE and EQ adjustment; TOZO highlights bass-oriented tuning and a range of app EQ modes. Those are different approaches, not proof that one will sound better to every listener. If you like to alter sound settings, TOZO gives a stated set of 32 modes; if you want on-ear headphones with Sony’s sound processing and app EQ, the WH-CH520L is the more natural match.
Calls are another point to weigh. Sony lists a built-in microphone, call controls on the ear cups and noise reduction during conversations. TOZO lists Bluetooth calling profiles, but its provided details do not describe comparable microphone noise reduction. For someone who often takes calls during a commute, Sony has the more specific call-related information here.
My Verdict
I would choose the TOZO T10 instead if I wanted earbuds, needed IPX8 water resistance or planned to carry them for both commuting and exercise. The right pick comes down to whether I value Sony’s long-running headphone format or TOZO’s compact, water-resistant earbud design more.
For a headband-style commute with long listening sessions and multipoint connection, Sony is the better fit. For a compact in-ear option with IPX8 water resistance, TOZO has the advantage.
TOZO lists up to 55 hours of total playtime when the charging case is included, and up to 15 hours from one charge. Sony lists up to 50 hours of battery life for the headphones, so the figures describe different setups.
TOZO T10 is listed with an IPX8 waterproof rating. The Sony details provided here do not state a water-resistance rating, so there is no basis for treating it as water-resistant.
Sony specifies a three-minute quick charge that provides up to 1.5 hours of listening. TOZO supports wireless charging, but the available details do not specify a comparable quick-charge result.
