If you want a reliable, all-day companion for focused video calls and seamless device switching, choose Sony WFC510/B; if you need cutting-edge AI translation, advanced motion controls, and a secure fit for active outdoor use, choose TOZO Open X2.
• Sony WFC510/B: Delivers exceptional 22-hour total battery life with multipoint connectivity for effortless switching between devices; however, it lacks the smart AI features or open-ear design found in its competitor. Best for professionals who prioritize long meetings and stable connections.
• TOZO Open X2: Offers groundbreaking AI meeting recording, real-time translation, and an IPX7 waterproof rating with a secure dual-axis hook; yet, it sacrifices the extended battery endurance of the Sony model. Best for travelers and athletes who need high-tech assistance and durability.
The Sony WFC510/B is engineered for the person who needs their audio gear to simply work, reliably, for hours on end without interruption. Its standout feature is the battery architecture. With up to 11 hours of playback on a single charge and an additional 11 hours provided by the charging case, this pair of earbuds covers a full workday or even a long international flight without needing a wall outlet. For someone spending six to eight hours straight on Zoom calls or virtual conferences, this longevity is not just a luxury; it is a necessity. The quick-charging capability further supports this workflow, offering an hour of playback from just five minutes of charging when you forget to plug in overnight.
Design-wise, these are true in-ear buds that prioritize a compact, lightweight fit. At only 31 grams for the entire set, they are built for "all-day comfort," meaning you can wear them through a morning stand-up, a deep-work session, and an afternoon client call without feeling the pressure points that often plague heavier headsets. The inclusion of Bluetooth 5.3 ensures a robust wireless connection with a range of up to 10 meters, keeping your audio stream stable as you move around your home office or coffee shop. The DSEE technology also plays a crucial role here; it restores high-frequency elements lost in compressed music files, ensuring that even low-quality streaming sources sound crisp and clear during important conversations.

However, this product is not for everyone. If you are looking for an open-ear design that lets you hear the world around you while listening to music, the WFC510/B will feel isolating. It uses standard silicone tips to create a seal, which blocks ambient noise rather than letting it pass through. Furthermore, while it has Ambient Sound Mode to help you stay aware of your surroundings, it does not offer the transparency of an open-fit design. You should skip this model if you need advanced AI features like automatic meeting transcription or real-time language translation, as the Sony unit focuses purely on audio fidelity and battery stamina rather than smart assistant capabilities. It is the ideal choice for the corporate user who values silence, stability, and endurance above novelty.
The TOZO Open X2 Pro is a completely different beast, designed for the tech-savvy user who wants their earbuds to function as an intelligent assistant. Its primary draw is the integration of AI into the hardware. The ability to record, organize, and summarize meetings automatically frees you from taking frantic notes, allowing you to focus entirely on the conversation. This is paired with a face-to-face translation feature that transcribes and translates voice in real-time, creating a fluid dialogue experience that bridges language gaps instantly. For global teams or frequent travelers, this functionality transforms the earbuds from simple audio devices into productivity powerhouses.
Beyond software, the physical design caters to an active lifestyle. The dual-axis adjustment ear hooks provide a secure fit that adapts to various movements, making them ideal for running, cycling, or gym sessions where traditional in-ear buds might slip out. The IPX7 waterproof rating significantly exceeds the protection level of many competitors, shielding the device against heavy rain, sweat, and intense workout conditions. The case itself is a marvel of modern engineering, featuring a 1.75-inch smart LCD screen encased in aviation-grade aluminum alloy. This screen isn't just a display; it offers intuitive control and allows users to customize wallpapers via the app, turning the charging case into a personal statement piece.
Despite these innovations, there are trade-offs to consider. The TOZO Open X2 utilizes an open-ear design, which means it cannot provide the passive noise isolation of an in-ear bud. While the directional audio design helps focus sound toward your ears, you will still hear the environment around you, which might be distracting in a noisy office or a busy street. Additionally, while the battery life is respectable, it does not match the sheer endurance of the Sony model. You should choose this model if you are willing to sacrifice some battery capacity for the sake of smart features, a secure athletic fit, and superior water resistance. It is perfect for the commuter, the athlete, or the digital nomad who needs their audio gear to do more than just play music.

After weighing the specifications and potential use cases, I would buy the Sony WFC510/B if my primary goal is to handle a heavy workload of video calls throughout the day. The combination of its massive 22-hour total battery capacity, multipoint connectivity, and comfortable in-ear design makes it the superior tool for professional environments where reliability is paramount. While the TOZO Open X2 offers fascinating AI capabilities, the Sony's ability to keep me connected and comfortable for an entire workday without charging interruptions gives it the edge for business use.
However, if I were planning a trip abroad or needed a headset that could actively translate languages for me, the TOZO Open X2 would be my immediate choice. Its AI features and rugged build make it a fantastic secondary device for specific scenarios, but for the core task of being present and productive during remote meetings, the Sony remains the more dependable partner. Ultimately, for the specific need of best anc wireless earbuds for video calls, the Sony's balance of endurance and clarity wins out over the high-tech gimmicks of the TOZO.
Neither model features active noise cancellation (ANC) in the traditional sense of blocking external sound electronically. The Sony uses Ambient Sound Mode to manage awareness, while the TOZO uses an open-ear design. For pure call clarity, both have built-in microphones, but the Sony's in-ear seal generally provides better voice isolation in noisy rooms.
Only the Sony WFC510/B supports multipoint connection, allowing you to switch between two devices instantly. The TOZO Open X2 does not list this feature, so you would need to manually disconnect and reconnect if switching between a laptop and a phone.
Both models allow for EQ adjustments to manage volume levels. The TOZO Open X2 offers a highly granular Free-Band Custom EQ that lets you adjust specific frequencies, giving you precise control over output. The Sony includes preset EQ options and DSEE technology to enhance sound quality, but the TOZO offers more direct customization for managing loudness.
