L'Shana Tovah Friends of Sons of Jacob Cemetery
As we enter the High Holidays, we reflect on the importance of memory, tradition, and honoring those who came before us. Sons of Jacob Cemetery is a place where these values are made tangible, and it is our responsibility to care for it with the respect it deserves.
This year, in addition to the regular upkeep of mowing, trimming, and stone repair, we have faced an even greater challenge: extensive tree work. Several large limbs have already fallen, damaging the fence, and more branches must be removed to protect the grounds and prevent future hazards. This urgent work is costly, but essential to safeguard both the cemetery and those who visit.
At the same time, we continue the important project of cleaning and preserving headstones. Many of these markers, worn by time, are being carefully restored with proper techniques so that names and stories are not lost. This is meticulous and ongoing work, but deeply meaningful as we reconnect with our history.
All of this is sustained entirely by volunteers and the generosity of friends like you. Your support ensures that Sons of Jacob Cemetery remains a place of dignity and care for generations to come.
As you prepare for the New Year, please consider a donation to help us continue this sacred work. Together, we can preserve the past while protecting the future.
Thank you for your kindness and support. Please consider a donation before the end of the year to support Sons of Jacob Cemetery.
