The Sonoran Foothills Parent Teacher Student Association is a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization.
The Arizona State PTA requires that, at minimum, four Board positions be held, in order to maintain the chapter. If these four positions are not filled, the Board is dissolved.
Every year's Board determines the activities for that year, with some guidelines regarding number of community events, meetings, and fund raising.
In past years, we have...
provided and facilitated the installment of three (much needed) large shade structures.
provided and installed small triangular shades.
provided and cared for additional campus trees.
provided teacher appreciation love, food, and gifts.
raised funds for special area groups such as art, band, and choir.
raised funds for special classroom materials.
facilitate the student supply boxes.
facilitate and fund community events including the Luminary Night and the Spring Carnival.

Vice Presidents
The PTSA Board can have additional VP's that don't hold one of the core four jobs, but are still equal participant on the Board. So, if you aren't excited about taking one of the roles above, but you'd like to be on Board, please consider the VP role.
