Dr. Bhargava will be starting as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at University of Wisconsin-Madison, Madison, WI, USA in Fall 2024. Since 2022, she is a Humboldt Postdoctoral Fellow In the Physical Intelligence department at Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems, Stuttgart, Germany. Prior to that, she was a postdoctoral scholar at the BADER lab in the Department of Radiology at University of Chicago, IL, USA from 2020-2022. She received her Ph.D. in the Biomedical Engineering and Mechanics department at Virginia Tech, advised by Prof. Shima Shahab. Her research interests lie in the areas of acoustic-structure interaction, therapeutic ultrasound, cavitation, nonlinear acoustics, mechanics of soft materials, tissue ablation, biomedical micro-robotics, and nonlinear vibrations.

Dr. Bhargava grew up in the city of Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. She enjoys many activities including hiking, rock climbing, playing basketball, and travelling. She is a trained classical dancer in Kathak and is an avid foodie.
