The Sonic Fusion Story
Sonic Fusion Music Festival was first hosted by Coolpery Entertainment in the middle of a field in Rural Iron Belt, Wisconsin in August of 2016. The first Sonic Fusion hosted r Canadian Bass Music Producer/DJ Downlink as the headliner and had over seventy DJ acts perform. It was first ever festival appearance of a little know [then] producer named Deerskin and the flaming dumpster fire bass music group known as Yookie over the inaugural weekend. The event had some infrastructure issues, technical difficulties and weather issues that made it a truly unique and challenging production experience for the event organizer. Despite the challenges the team was determined and did not give up.
In 2017 Coolpery Entertainment partnered with Heavy Smoke Entertainment to produce the second Sonic Fusion in the deep Wisconsin woods near Medford, WI and this time it was The “Rail-breaker” Rico Act’s first festival performance. The Sonic Fusion team and fans were tested yet again with heavy rains the first night of the event. The following morning front man of Coolpery Entertainment - Frank Cupery walked to event grounds with a megaphone reminding attendees and the universe that “This weekend belongs to us [Sonic Fusion], not Mother Nature”. Shortly after the clouds cleared and made way for an amazing weekend of music, art, and community.
Sonic Fusion took a break in 2018 and 2019 to rebuild. In 2020 the Covid-19 pandemic struck the world thus pushing Sonic Fusion further away from rebirth. During the pandemic business owners of Heavy Smoke Entertainment and Coolpery Entertainment decided to join forces and created Form Entertainment. As the Covid-19 pandemic shutdowns ended Form Entertainment got back to work hosting events at The Gin Mill in Menomonie, WI. By the summer of 2021 Form Entertainment had started to build a following in Menomonie, WI and decided to breath new life into Sonic Fusion by hosting a one day event in September. The event was a great success with fun art vendors, discussion talk presentations, and fun bands/DJs playing a variety of dance genres from EDM, House, Hip-hop, and Rock.
Form Entertainment invites you to the 4th Sonic Fusion at The Central Mix in Columbia Heights, Minnesota. Come on out for some great music, an awesome new venue, and the fun Sonic Fusion vibes. For more details and tickets please check out formentertainment.com!
