Recently, while redesigning an old project for my portfolio, I came across an AI tool, Attention Inight Plugin. Here’s the story of how it transformed my design process:
I knew the design was flawed to begin with, but needed to figure out what is actually wrong with it and how to make it right(as if there is such a thing). So I started playing around with the tool I heard of to see what it can do, and It was amazing. I asked it to analyze my screen, and in just 60 seconds, I had a heatmap showing me exactly where things were going wrong—all from just the wireframe!
I quickly jumped into the Figma file to make some changes. It was funny how fast I went from "What am I even doing?" to "I know exactly what to change." After tweaking the design, I used the plugin again to see if there was any improvement. And it had! I managed to focus attention on the important parts of the screen.
Here’s what we started with and how I turned it around. In the new design, the focus is on important data and action buttons, unlike the first version, which was a cluttered mess making users miss the critical stuff.
P.S.: This plugin does a whole lot more, and I trust you to figure out the rest on your own. Or just hang tight for my upcoming articles.
One last thing: AI tools can't replace real users (at least yet), but they’re super helpful in the early stages and can provide some pretty valuable insights if proceed with caution. Plus, they’re kinda fun to mess around with!
