Casals–Simmons Duo unites soprano Lizette Casals and classical guitarist Dr. Michael Simmons in performances that celebrate the rich intersection of classical, folk, jazz, and Latin American musical traditions. Drawing upon their extensive backgrounds in performance and music education, the duo presents engaging programs that move seamlessly from opera and art song to spirituals, folk music, jazz standards, and beloved songs from Spain, the Caribbean, and the Americas.
