This website is for our CS109A final project at Harvard. The group's members are Jamilla Akhund-Zade, Bella Gu, Alpha Sanneh, and Denise Yoon.
Many music streaming services, such as Spotify, allow for the creation of playlists, an assemblage of songs put together by a user or the streaming service. This playlist represents a musical experience, and the purpose of a song recommender is to extend this experience by suggesting songs that fit well with the other songs in the playlist.
For our final project, we set out to create a song recommender that looks at what songs a user has in their playlist and make recommendations for songs that would make good additions to this playlist, using the Million Playlist Dataset.
