This Privacy Policy explains how Sonexa Player ("the App") handles your data. We believe in complete transparency and absolute privacy.

1. No Data Collection or Tracking The App does not collect, transmit, share, or sell any personal data, usage data, or telemetry to any external servers. The App does not contain any third-party analytics, crash-reporting software, or advertising networks.

2. Local Storage Only All data generated by the App including your custom playlists, favorite tracks, application settings, and cached audio waveforms—is stored entirely on your device's local storage using internal databases. This data never leaves your device.

3. The "Internet" Permission & Local Network Features When reviewing the App's permissions on Android, you will see it requests the INTERNET permission. The App does not connect to the remote internet.

Android OS requires this permission for any application that needs to open network sockets, even if those sockets are strictly limited to your local Wi-Fi router. We request this permission exclusively to power our Local Area Network (LAN) features. All network activity is handled via mDNS and a local HTTP server confined entirely to your local network.

4. Local Device Discovery When utilizing the App's local network features, the App broadcasts your device name locally so other devices on your network can discover it. This broadcast name is fully customizable by you at any time within the App's Settings menu.

5. Audio File Modification The App includes a tag editor that allows you to modify the metadata of your audio files. To ensure your files remain secure, the App routes these changes through Android's official MediaStore API. The App will always trigger a system-level consent prompt, asking for your explicit permission before modifying any file.

6. Children's Privacy Because the App does not collect any personal information or connect to the internet, it is completely safe for children and complies fully with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
