Welcome to Sona ("we", "our", "the App"). Sona is a free, open-source music player for Android and iOS.

• Backup files you export or import

• Last.fm data (optional, if scrobbling is enabled)

• Advertising ID (Android)

• Ad-related usage data via ad partners

2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

• No user accounts

• No name, email, phone number, or precise GPS location

• No personal data sent to our servers (we operate no backend servers)

• Music playback and core features

• Local storage of playlists and settings

• Displaying ads (banner, interstitial, rewarded, native)

• Music search via plugins

• Last.fm scrobbling (if enabled)

4. Local Storage

Most data stays on your device only: local database, settings, playlists, favorites, and backup files. We do not upload this data to our servers.

5. Permissions

Internet (streaming, plugins, ads); audio file access (local music); notifications (background playback); advertising ID (Android, personalized ads); foreground service (background playback).

Sona is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Your Rights

Access, correction, deletion, opt-out of personalized ads, data portability (via backup export), and withdrawal of consent. Reset the app in Settings → Storage to delete all local data.

10. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your data. No method is 100% secure.

11. Data Retention

Local data until you delete it or reset the app. Ad and Last.fm data per their respective policies.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
