In an interview with Maria Löffler, a member of the team supporting early career researchers at HoMe, the 21-year-old talks about her personal experiences, her research topic and why Merseburg is the perfect place for her doctorate. 

Nowadays, cancer is still one of the diseases with the highest mortality rate worldwide. Thus, the search for new anticancer drugs as well as novel therapeutic methods is still extremely important. Chemotherapy can be improved by different approaches, including searching for new targets and for drugs with novel modes of action.
