Dr. Somya Ranjan Patro is currently a Assistant Professor at IIT (BHU), Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, Indian. Before joining IIT BHU, I was BK postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Seoul National University, Seoul, South Korea. I was working with Prof. Jinkyu Yang on the dynamic analysis of negative extensibility systems aimed at achieving passive vibration isolation. I received my PhD from the Department of Civil Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, where I worked with Prof. G. V. Ramana and Prof. Arnab Banerjee on the vibration control of offshore wind turbines, utilizing both analytical and experimental methodologies. I had done my master's in Geotechnical Engineering specialization at the National Institute of Technology Rourkela under the supervision of Prof. Rabi Narayan Behera.
