Dr. Swarnkar has worked on sediment dynamics, soil erosion, and sediment transport modeling in the Himalayan River basins. He has proposed a novel technique to assess the uncertainties in empirical-based soil erosion and sediment modeling approaches. He also has experience in statistical hydrology. Presently, he is working on extreme hydrological events and their hydrological implications in the upper Ganga basin.
