Mr. Somenath Nag Choudhury, is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, RCC Institute of Information Technology (RCCIIT) since March, 2016. He has completed his graduation from Narula Institute of Technology in the year 2011 and post graduation from IEM, Salt Lake in the year 2013. Prior to joining he has worked as an Assistant Professor at Eminent College Management & Technology (ECMT), Barasat, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT) and as a lecturer trainee at IEM, Salt Lake. His research interest is in the broad area of Natural Language Processing, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cryptography & Steganography. Currently his research focuses on Clinical Text Mining, Medical Language Processing, Medical Question Answer Summarization and Medical Report Summarization.

He is a research scholar at IIT, Patna in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, working under the guidance of Dr. Asif Ekbal, Associate Professor, IIT Patna, Department of Computer Science & Engineering. He is also involved in the R&D project in IIT Patna, titled as "PERCURO- A holistic solution for clinical text mining", sponsored by Wipro Ltd, India, with total grant ₹3.9M (Only IITP), Consortium with University of Southern California, USA.

He is also involved in different student training activities as the SPOC NASSCOM and as the Wipro Certified Faculty (WCF) in Java and J2EE. He has also published papers in National and International Conferences and participated in multiple Faculty Development Programs.
