Reaching your Fundraising Goal
Sync your social media with your fundraising page and start a Facebook Fundraiser! Check out our social media guide for more information.
Host a Happy Hour, Dinner Party, or Game Night - Charge an entrance fee and have a great time!
Set up a "Jeans Day" at work -- employees donate $5 (or any amount) to dress casually on a specified day.
Organize a raffle or auction with prizes from friends, local businesses, etc.
Please note: Special Olympics MA has ongoing relationships with the major New England sports partners. Therefore, we ask that you do not personally solicit raffle items from these major sports organizations (Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, Boston Celtics, New England Revolution, Boston Bruins).
Double your impact by asking your employer about their match gift program.
Venmo request $5.00 from your friends with a description that says “help me reach my fundraising goal of ____ for the Polar Plunge!” Some may decline, others may accept, and others may send you more than $5.00.
Donate your Special Day- Whether it be your birthday, a baby shower, bridal shower, or going away party, ask coworkers to skip the presents and lunch party and donate money to your personal Plunge page!
*Please note: Special Olympics MA has ongoing relationships with the major New England sports teams, Bank of America, TD Bank, Arbella Insurance, Walmart. Therefore, we ask that you do not personally solicit raffle items or sponsorship from these organizations as they donate to Special Olympics Massachusetts directly.
Sharing the stories of Special Olympics athletes, families, and volunteers who have found inclusion through Special Olympics will help your donors feel connected to their gift. You can find a variety of stories on our YouTube Channel and our Blog.
You can start by sharing this video, which tells the story of how Special Olympics Massachusetts persisted during the pandemic, and how we are committing to get Back to Better by 2024.
