SolvedBooks Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 April 2026
This policy explains what information the SolvedBooks mobile app (the “App”) collects, how it’s used, and the choices you have. The App is operated by an individual developer and the contact email is at the bottom of this page.
1. What data the App collects
SolvedBooks does not require an account, does not ask for your name or email, and does not contain any social or networking features. The data flows below are the only ones in the App:
On-device unlock state. When you unlock a question group by watching a rewarded ad, the unlocked group ID is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data never leaves your device. Uninstalling the App deletes it.
Advertising data (via Google AdMob). The App shows banner and rewarded ads supplied by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS / AAID on Android), approximate location derived from IP address, device model, OS version, and information about ad interactions. This is standard for the AdMob SDK; see Google’s policy below.
Crash diagnostics. The App may report anonymized crash stack traces to help diagnose bugs. No personally identifying information is included.
2. What data the App does not collect
No name, email, phone number, or address.
No precise location.
No camera, microphone, photos, contacts, or calendar access.
No browsing history outside the App.
No payment information (the App contains no in-app purchases).
3. Third-party services
The App integrates the Google AdMob SDK to serve ads. Google’s use of advertising data is governed by:
You can opt out of personalized ads at any time:
iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and turn off “Allow Apps to Request to Track.” On first launch, the App will also show the standard iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt; choosing “Ask App Not to Track” has the same effect.
Android: Settings → Google → Ads, and enable “Delete advertising ID” or “Opt out of Ads Personalization.”
EEA / UK / California users: The first time the App opens, a Google-provided consent dialog (UMP) will ask whether you want personalized ads. You can change your choice later via the in-app menu when available, or by reinstalling the App.
4. Children’s privacy
SolvedBooks is intended for an adult audience (undergraduate university students and above). The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will delete it.
5. Data retention & deletion
Because the App stores no personal data on our servers, there is nothing for us to delete on request. To remove all locally stored unlock state, uninstall the App. To request deletion of advertising data held by Google, follow the instructions in Google’s privacy policy linked above.
6. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted at the same URL with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance.
