Solstice Math Olympiads (SMO) is a biannual, student-led math competition designed to challenge and inspire middle and high school students across the country.Founded in 2021, SMO offers a unique platform where students solve creative, high-level problems in a timed, virtual format. The competition emphasizes mathematical thinking, elegance, and depth.Run entirely by students with a passion for problem solving, SMO has grown to serve hundreds of participants over the years, drawing from schools, math circles, and independent learners. The competition includes a Speed Round, Accuracy Round, Team Round, and Relay Round, each testing different facets of mathematical skill.Our goal is to foster mathematical curiosity, build community, and offer a high-quality contest experience accessible to all.The 2025 Solstice Summer Math Olympiads (SSMO) will be held on June 21, 2025 over ZOOM.
Participants will receive a link the day before the contest. Problems will be given through password-protected PDFs for each round and answers should be submitted through a corresponding Google Form.
