ABOUT OUR CO-OP Solstice Housing
Solstice Housing Co-Op has been open since November of 1990.
Our complex is conveniently located close to schools, shopping, and transit.
There are 34 Units in the complex comprised of:
2 Two Bedroom Handicapped Units with single carport (925 sq ft)
6 Two Bedroom with Den and single car garage and one additional parking spot (1086 sq ft)
26 Three Bedroom units with single car garage and one additional parking spot (1155 sq ft)
Our office is located in the common building, which also houses an amenity room and laundry facilities. For a small refundable deposit, members can use the amenity room for private functions as it has a full kitchen.
Shares:
A share purchase of $3,500.00 is required per member and all associate members over the age of 19 must pay $10.00 prior to moving in.
Monthly Housing Charges:
2 Bedroom Accessible - $1,271.00
2 Bedroom / Den - $1,298.00
3 Bedroom - $1,430.00

To Create a Community:
EACH member is required to participate through committees, members meetings, and work parties.
At least four (4) hours per month of each member's time is required for co-op business.

Applications:
Application for Membership is made to the Membership Committee.
The committee is responsible for interviewing applicants and making recommendations to the Board of Directors for the allocation of vacant units.
Interview Process:
Interviews will be only be conducted with qualifying applicants and the following checks will occur:
Credit Checks - All applicants and co-applicants will have to have a credit check completed once/if interviewed
Previous landlord / Rental checks
Reference Checks
Employment and Income verification
All adults 19 years of age and older who will be occupying the unit must attend the interview. Children are welcome to attend.
