Welcome to Level Up! Your privacy is of paramount importance to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our mobile application ("Level Up", the "App") and any related services.
By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.
When you create an account, set up your profile, or use the App, we may collect:
Account Information: Email address, password, and your chosen username/display name.
Authentication Data: Information provided by third-party authentication services if you choose to sign in via Google.
Profile Information: User-uploaded profile pictures, chosen archetypes, app preferences, and goals.
User-Generated Content: Tasks, quests, routines, mission data, lists, and your in-app progression history (such as XP and levels).
Device Information: Device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers to help us understand performance issues and crashes.
Usage Data: General app interaction data, crash logs, and diagnostics. This data is collected anonymously to improve the app's performance and stability.
We use the collected data for the following purposes:
To Provide and Maintain the Service: To operate the app, manage your account, and sync your data securely across multiple devices via cloud backup.
To Personalize Your Experience: To track your RPG-style progression (XP, levels, archetypes, and stats) and customize your task management experience.
To Process Transactions: To manage your Premium Subscription and process payments (all payment details are securely handled by Google Play; we do not store your credit card information).
To Communicate With You: To send transactional emails (like password resets) or important updates regarding the service.
To Improve the App: To analyze app usage and crash reports to fix bugs and improve functionality.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their marketing purposes. The App contains no advertisements. However, we use trusted third-party services to facilitate our App's functionality:
Firebase & Google Cloud (Authentication & Database): Used to securely store user accounts, passwords, profile data, and cloud backups.
Google Play Billing: Used to process securely in-app purchases and subscriptions.
These third-party providers have access to your Personal Information only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
Local Storage: By default, your data is stored locally on your device.
Cloud Sync: When you create an account, your data is securely synced and backed up to our cloud database to allow for cross-device usage and data restoration.
Security: We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we strive to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it, including secure HTTPS connections and encrypted databases. However, no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
We retain your personal data only for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the services.
Account Deletion: You have the right to request the deletion of your account and all associated data. You can delete your account directly within the App's settings, which will permanently wipe your profile, XP history, tasks, and credentials from our cloud servers. Alternatively, you can contact us to request data deletion.
To provide specific features, the App may request the following permissions:
Notifications: To send you local reminders for your daily quests, tasks, and routines.
Photo Library / Camera: To allow you to select and crop a profile picture for your hunter profile.
You can enable or disable these permissions at any time through your device settings.
These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to do necessary actions.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page.
