Following the end of the Second World War after taking his part in keeping Hitler from Britain's shores, in 1947 Dave Dunn started out in business with a credit drapery firm supplying customers with everyday requirements like clothes, towel bales, bedding bales and general household goods. In 1963 his son Gerald (Gerry) joined the business at the age of 16 and when his father passed away several years later Gerald was well placed to take over the reins and continue to uphold the standards for their customer base.

By the mid-1970’s our customers were preferring to take cash along to the wider range of shops available on the high streets to buy their merchandise so our business moved into personal loans and satisfy their needs. We have always believed in trade associations and in 1989 we became founder members of the Consumer Credit Association of the United Kingdom. This body represents us when dealing with Parliament, the Financial Conduct Authority and the various other authorities that legislate us, our business trades within its Code of Conduct to ensure that we trade fairly with our clientele. In 1985 we joined the Hamilton Group in an effort to give our customers an even more enhanced service and since then the third generation of our family Michael C. Dunn (Mike) has joined the company and is currently dealing with our customers on a daily basis.
