In order to generate power from sunlight, Team 28 designed a rotating solar panel.
The SolarNano is equipped with sunlight detection technology that allows its solar panels to automaticially rotate itself to recieve the maximum amount of sunlight
This ensures that the maximum amount of energy is always being yielded throughout the day
The code uses information from the solar detectors to rotate the panels towards the sun's current location, allowing the solar panel to always have a direct path towards the sun
The solar panel itself works like any normal solar panel. The panel permits particles of light or photons to be bounced off the photovoltiac cells, which inturn knocks away electrons from atoms and generates a flow of electricity.
Joint 1 - This joint rotates panels in the optimal angle towards the sun based on the information it recieves from from sunlight sensors.
Joint 2 - Automicially moves from east to west over the average 12 hour photoperiod to account for the rising and setting of the planet's star
Wheels - They will slowly turn throught the year to account for the planet's rotation, this ensures the SolarNano is always exactly parallel towards the rising and setting of the star. As the star rises exactly east and sets exactly west only on the equinoxes.
