Jepson Parkway is an under construction new, four-lane continuous roadway serving the cities of Suisun City, Fairfield, and Vacaville. Starting from the Walters Road/SR-12 intersection in Suisun City, the planned 12 mile multi-modal corridor will take travelers all the way to the Leisure Town Road/I-80 interchange in Vacaville, providing a vital north-south county connection and relieving traffic on I-80. The completion of the project will help Solano County residents travel throughout the county, especially to important job sites and new neighborhoods, including:
The Jepson Parkway Concept Plan proposes two new bus routes to serve communities along the parkway.
An express shuttle between Fairfield-Vacaville Hannigan Station and Travis Air Force Base is also proposed.
As a multi-modal corridor, Jepson Parkway will also provide pedestrian and bicycle facilities. Most of the parkway will be accompanied by a 10 feet wide Class I bike path. However, Class II bike lanes will also be available along most of the route.
Class I: a separate path separate from the road dedicated for bike use only, may also permit pedestrians
Class II: a separate lane on the road dedicated for bike use only
