The SolanoConnex team offers several different mental health trainings to community members in Solano County. All trainings are free, evidence-based, and are available virtually or in-person.

Be Sensitive Be Brave for Mental Health
Be Sensitive Be Brave for Suicide Prevention
Adult Mental Health First Aid
If you are interested in organizing a Be Sensitive Be Brave training for a group, either in person or virtually, or if you would like to join the waitlist for a future MHFA training, you can email us at solanoconnex@gmail.com.
This 2-hour training will teach participants to:
Identify when you or others are in mental distress
Be sensitive and brave in helping others
Increase awareness of mental health resources
Prevent mental health conditions by using a recipe for mental wellness
Build cultural sensitivity around mental health conditions
Increase community responsiveness and decrease stigma
This 2-hour training will teach participants to:
Identify signs of suicide
Be sensitive and brave in helping others
Ask if someone is considering suicide sensitively and confidently
Connect individuals with the appropriate support
Approach suicide prevention in a culturally sensitive manner
Adult Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an 8-hour skills-based training that teaches people how to identify, understand and respond to signs and symptoms of a mental health or substance use challenge in adults ages 18 and over.
