Jo Jo Stockton is from Franklin County, Va and has opened for several Grammy nominated artists at such venues as the Harvester Performance center , 5 Points Sanctuary and the Bower center. Corey “lil pop” Ledet, Brandon “TAZ” Niederauer and Delbert McClinton are among the artist he’s performed with or opened for. He's sat in with legendary Cedrick Burnside from the movie “Blacksnake Moan “and has played regularly for local Jazz legend Jane Powell . Performing the historic “Floydfest “ with his full band , “Solacoustix,” was nothing short of Epic!! JoJo is currently in the studio working on his second album. Jo Jo lives in Roanoke and if you can't find him downtown playing for the local scene himself, he is out supporting other local artists. He is coined Roanoke's "Mayor of Music" and is currently hosting a "Local Roots" series, near the Grandin Theatre, that showcases some of Roanoke's local artists.
