New Player Guide

Congratulations on deciding to connect to our server. We have posted the following to help get you started as easily as possible. If you have any questions while in-game, don't be afraid to holler for an admin.

CONNECTING TO TEAMSPEAK SERVER (OPTIONAL)

1. Download and install the latest version to TeamSpeak.
   • https://www.teamspeak.com/en/downloads/#
2. Start TeamSpeak.
3. Click Connections > Connect.
4. Enter the Server Nickname or Address.
   • solsurvivors.ddns.net
5. Enter your desired Nickname.
6. Click Connect.
7. Double-click on the GTA 5 channel to join it.

Note: you can bookmark the server once connected by clicking Bookmarks > Add to Bookmarks > OK.

ACTIVATING IN-GAME VOICE CHAT (REQUIRED)

1. In-game, go to SETTINGS > Voice Chat.
2. Turn Voice Chat Enabled to On.
3. Ensure Voice Chat Volume is maxed (slider all the way to the right).
4. If you have a microphone, set Microphone Enabled to On.
5. Ensure the proper Input Device is selected.
6. Set your Voice Chat Mode to either Push To Talk or Voice Activated. Default Push To Talk button is N. You can remap this under Key Bindings > GTA Online > Push to Talk.
7. Adjust your Microphone Volume (typically, this needs to be maxed). If your volume is still too low, raise your microphone volume in Windows.
8. If using Voice Activated, adjust your Microphone Sensitivity as needed, using the Voice Volume meter to adjust the voice detection threshold.

FIRST SPAWN (SETTING ID AND GETTING A JOB)

You will initially spawn at City Hall. Here, you are able to choose jobs, set your identity, and create a shell business for laundering dirty money.

To Set your identity

1. walk to the green blip in front of the doors.
2. In the phone menu pop-up, select New Identity, pressing ENTER to select. Note, you may have to hit the DOWN ARROW to select New Identity.
3. In the new pop-up window on the left, enter your character's First Name, Last Name, and Age when prompted. Press TAB to finish after inputting each field.

To Select a job

1. Walk to the orange blip inside City Hall by the elevators.
2. In the phone pop-up menu, select the Delivery job, using the UP/DOWN arrow keys to navigate and ENTER to select.

SURVIVING (FOOD/WATER/GAS)

While playing, you must take care of your food/water needs (located in the bottom-left of your screen under your health and mini-map), as well as refuel your vehicle periodically. If you do not eat/drink, you will eventually die from starvation/thirst. If your vehicle's fuel drops below 10%, it will start sputtering and become hard to drive. At 0%, you will be lucky to limp it to the next gas station.

Purchasing Food/Water

1. Go to any convenience store/taco truck/fruit stand marked on the map by a green grocery basket map marker.
2. Walk to the green blip in front of the convenience store counter/taco truck/fruit stand.
3. Select the food/drink you wish to purchase using the UP/DOWN arrow keys to navigate and ENTER to select.
4. Type in the amount you wish to purchase and press TAB to finish.
5. Either walk away from the blip, or press BACKSPACE to leave the menu.

Eating/Drinking

1. Press K to open your phone menu, scroll down to Inventory, and select it.
2. Select the food/drink in your inventory you wish to consume, then select Eat or Drink to consume that item.
3. To exit your phone/inventory, Press BACKSPACE until you back out of all the menus.

Refueling a Vehicle

1. Drive your vehicle to the nearest gas station, marked on your map by the red gas can map marker, and pull alongside a gas pump until you hear a beep and/or see a prompt in the upper left hand corner to Press E to open the menu.
2. Press E to open the menu, and use the UP/DOWN arrow keys to select Liters.
3. Press LEFT/RIGHT arrow keys to select how many Liters you wish to purchase.
4. Select Confirm, and press ENTER to begin refueling.

GETTING AROUND (GARAGES/SERVICES/METRO)

You can get around the map on food, by bicycle, vehicle, aircraft, boat, and even a metro system. All around the map, you will find garages for vehicles, aircraft, boats, and bicycles where you can purchase/spawn/store/rent/sell the garage's corresponding vehicles. We have also added a showroom where you can visually see vehicles and purchase them.

Using the Showroom

1. Navigate to the showroom at the corner of Adam's Apple Blvd and Power St.
2. Enter the showroom and walk to the blue circle next to the office.
3. Press ENTER to enter the Showroom when prompted and navigate the menus using UP/DOWN arrow keys, ENTER, and BACKSPACE.
4. Purchase the vehicle you wish. Once purchased, you will automatically exit the showroom. If you do not wish to purchase and would like to exit, press BACKSPACE until you exit from all menus.

Using a Garage to Spawn a Vehicle

1. Walk to a green garage blip, marked on the map as a green garage, or located close to a player house (marked on the map as a green house).
2. Select Owned, using the UP/DOWN arrow keys and ENTER.
3. Select the vehicle you wish to spawn.
4. When you are done using your spawned vehicle, drive on top of a garage blip and select Store from your phone pop-up menu.

Using Player Services

1. To call an Uber or Air Taxi, press K to open your phone.
2. Navigate to Phone and select it.
3. Navigate to Services and select it.
4. Select the service you wish to call for.
5. Enter a message to be sent to the player(s) on duty, and press TAB to finish.
6. Your request will be sent to all on-line Uber or Air Taxi players, and your location provided to them upon acceptance of your request.

Using the Metro System

1. Navigate to any Metro location, marked on the map by the purple 4-way arrow map markers.
2. Walk to the white teleport blip, typically located next to a metro map.
3. Select the location you wish to teleport.

YOUR FIRST JOB (DELIVERY)

We recommend the Delivery job for new players because it is straightforward and permits the player to explore most of the city while earning a profit.

1. Select the Delivery job at City Hall and wait until you receive your first mission in the upper right of your screen.
2. Use a personal vehicle or your job vehicle (Garage located at Vespucci Blvd and Supply St) to navigate to the closest convenience store.
3. Purchase the tacos/water required.
4. Navigate to the objective marked on your map by the yellow dot and GPS path; walking on top of the blip with the required supplies will automatically turn in the mission.
5. If you are unable to turn in a mission, press K to open your phone menu and select Cancel Mission. This will force another mission to generate in approximately a minute.

INSTALLING MAP ZOOM DATA (OPTIONAL)

1. Download the FiveMPostalMap-Client.zip file located under our downloads page, or here.
2. Unzip the folder and copy the citizen folder.
3. Navigate to your FiveM Application Data folder (default FiveM directory is located at C:\Users\{User Name}\AppData\Local\FiveM).
4. Paste the previously copied citizen folder inside your FiveM Application Data folder, making sure to Overwrite the existing folder/files.
