I'm excited to have you here.
I started my science research journey in sixth grade, where I got a taste of the fascinating world of public health that made me want to learn more... follow me as I explore this riveting subject!
A Little About Me
Who am I, really? The question seems simple enough, yet behind those four simple words lies a deceptively complex meaning. My name is Ellaheh Gohari; I'm a daughter, a teacher, a scientist, a leader, a writer. I've spent my middle and high school years researching with the University of Miami on various topics ranging from a unique way to track schizophrenia patients' progress to whether pets improve sleep habits in the nights, yet late at night, I still find myself going down Wikipedia rabbit-holes in search of the latest new subject to learn. Meanwhile, as editor-in-chief for my school newspaper, The Patriot Post, I'm known for speaking out about local politics issues, so much so that my friends on staff joke I'll never be content talking about anything else.
Well... that's not exactly true. I may love talking the ear off of whoever's listening about new laws, but that's not all I enjoy. The intersection of science and politics has always intrigued me, especially as we learn more about the world and all that comes in it with every coming year. I decided to start this blog in order to write about what I've learned and any new developments that may arise as discoveries are made and laws are passed to follow them. I hope you'll join me on this journey through public policy.
(The name "Soho Snow" comes from the father of epidemiology, John Snow (not the Game of Thrones guy!), and his city of residence, Soho.)
