THE SOUTHERN OHIO CHAPTER (SOH) of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES) has served the human factors profession since 1964 by: (1) promoting the objectives and programs of the parent organization at the local level, (2) serving as a link between local members and the parent organization, (3) providing opportunities for professional and social interaction, and (4) providing a forum for the stimulating exchange of human factors information, methods, and ideas.
We are a local chapter of the national Human Factors and Ergonomics Society serving professionals in our community and supporting connections for students to learn more about Human Factors and Ergonomics opportunities in our state! Members can now access meeting content, new job postings, directory, and more directly though the website! The access is located at the bottom of the home page and password will be made available via email shortly. SOH Directory
Available to members as a living directory and published once each year to provide information concerning the current Chapter membership.
Communique
The Chapter newsletter contains news of the human factors profession, notice of upcoming meetings, and Chapter announcements. Chapter members are encouraged to contribute commentaries, articles and news items. The newsletter is typically published four times a year.
Technical Meetings
These meetings are usually held every other month and may consist of either invited speakers or conducted tours at local industries or institutions. Occasionally, special day-long meetings are held that concentrate on a single topic of current interest. Most meetings are held both in person and virtually and recorded for members to view later.

Upcoming Meetings:
The next meeting will be held May 10th 12:00 pm- 1:00 pm. This event will be recorded and will take place both in person at the Wright Brothers Institute at 5000 Springfield Street, Riverside, OH 45431 prior to noon.
