SoftX Image - Resize & Compress ("SoftX Image", "we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the SoftX Image - Resize & Compress Android application handles information when you use the app.

1. Information We Collect

SoftX Image is designed to perform image resizing and compression locally on your device.

We do not require you to create an account, provide your name, email address, phone number, or other personal information to use the app.

Images and Photos

When you select an image for resizing or compression, the app accesses the image you choose through the Android system photo picker.

The selected image is processed locally on your device for purposes such as:

2. How We Use Your Images

Images selected by you are used only to provide the features you request.

For example, when you select an image to compress, the app processes that image to generate the compressed version.

3. Local Processing

SoftX Image is primarily designed as an on-device image utility.

Image processing, including resizing and compression, is performed locally on your Android device. This means that your selected images do not need to be transmitted to our servers for the app's core functionality.

Temporary processing data may be created locally while an operation is in progress and is cleaned up when it is no longer required.

4. Saved Images

When you choose to save an image, SoftX Image saves the generated output using Android's standard storage framework.

The current app saves generated images in:

Saving an image is performed only when you explicitly request an output to be saved.

The app does not intentionally overwrite your original image during normal resize or compression operations.

5. Image Metadata

Depending on the selected options and output format, image metadata may be preserved or removed.

When you enable metadata removal, supported metadata is removed from the generated output.

For supported formats, DPI/resolution information may be written to the generated image where applicable.

Metadata processing is performed locally on your device.

6. Permissions and Android System Access

SoftX Image uses Android's system mechanisms for selecting and saving images.

The app is designed to request only the access necessary for the functionality you use.

Image selection is handled through the Android system photo picker where supported. SoftX Image does not require broad access to your entire photo library simply to perform its core image-processing functions.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your selected images or personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Because the core image-processing functionality operates locally on your device, your selected images are not sent to SoftX Image servers for processing.

8. Analytics and Advertising

The current version of SoftX Image does not require an account and does not use your personal information for targeted advertising.

If future versions introduce analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or other third-party services that collect information, this Privacy Policy will be updated as appropriate before or when those practices are introduced.

9. Data Retention

SoftX Image does not maintain a server-side copy of the images you process.

Images and generated files that you save remain under the control of your device and Android storage system.

Temporary processing files created by the app are intended to be removed when they are no longer needed.

10. Children's Privacy

SoftX Image does not knowingly collect personal information from children or require children to provide personal information to use the app.

11. Data Security

Because image processing is performed locally on your device, your selected images do not need to be transmitted to our servers for processing.

You are responsible for protecting access to your device and any files you choose to save or share.

12. Third-Party Services

SoftX Image's core image-processing functionality does not require a third-party cloud image-processing service.

Android system components, including the system photo picker and storage framework, may process requests according to Google's Android privacy and security policies.

We may update this Privacy Policy if the app's functionality or data practices change.
