Welcome to the Soft Robotics Group, part of the Multi-Agent System Lab at the University of Science and Technology of China, Hefei.

It has always been a pursuit to create machines that are skilled and intelligent to liberate human from dangerous and repetitive works since the very beginning of robotics research and application. Over the last half-century, robots have been applied in industrial automation. The technologies of robots have also been largely developed, reaching a high level of reliability, accuracy, and efficiency. However, there is still a huge gap between reality and our expectation. We hope robots can perform useful tasks in human environments, for example doing some housework and restaurant service, or even becoming a companion.

Our vision is to explore and push the boundaries of robotics, taking inspiration from nature, to create an intelligent world.
