Effective Date: September 17, 2026
Softnote ("we," "our," or "the app") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Softnote handles information when you use the Softnote mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
Softnote does not collect, store, transmit, or sell personal information from users.
The notes, titles, categories, and other content you create in Softnote are stored locally on your device.
We do not require you to create an account or provide personal information to use the app.
2. How Your Notes Are Stored
Softnote is designed to work primarily as a local notes application.
Your notes and related information are stored locally on your Android device using local storage.
Your note content is not automatically uploaded to our servers or transmitted to us.
If you uninstall Softnote or clear the app's data, locally stored notes may be permanently deleted.
3. Internet and Network Access
Softnote does not use your note content for online processing or synchronization.
The app does not send your notes to external servers.
The Privacy Policy option in the app may open a webpage in your device's web browser. Your browser and the website you visit may have their own privacy policies.
4. Third-Party Services
Softnote does not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services to collect information about your use of the app.
The app does not sell or share your personal information with third parties.
5. Children's Privacy
Softnote does not knowingly collect personal information from children or adults.
Because the app does not require users to submit personal information, there is no intentional collection of children's personal information.
6. Data Security
Because your notes are stored locally on your device, you are responsible for protecting access to your device.
We recommend using the security features provided by your Android device, such as a screen lock, PIN, password, or biometric authentication.
7. Data Deletion
You can delete individual notes from within Softnote.
You can also delete all notes using the delete-all option available in the app's Settings section.
Uninstalling the app or clearing its application data may also remove locally stored notes.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to Softnote or applicable requirements.
Any updated version will include a revised effective date.
