Soft Electronics Lab.

Our group pursue human-friendly electronic devices for next generation of IoT (Internet of Things) society. Based on understanding of 'soft' electronic materials, such as organic, inorganic, organic/inorganic hybrid materials, the synergy of material fusion will contribute unprecedented realization of unconventional and flexible electronic devices. Our approach is multidisciplinary, involving concepts and expertise from electrical engineering, materials science and engineering, chemistry, physics, and bio-medical engineering. The devices of current interest are organic and inorganic thin film transistors, photovoltaics, photodetectors, chemical/physical sensors. These devices are used as human-integrated sensors, conformably attached on malleable skin/tissue surfaces. These efforts could make possible such innovations as low cost and large area flexible plastic circuits, displays, and disposable sensors.
