SoftCoderX provides the App. The current version does not require an App account and does not use a SoftCoderX-operated server to store your projects or route your AI requests. AI requests go directly from your device to the provider used by the selected workflow, using credentials you supply.
This policy describes the App’s current features. Third-party AI providers, Google Play, websites, and apps you choose to share with have their own privacy policies and terms.
The App uses and stores the following information to provide the features you select:
Selected media: videos, photos, and audio you import; local copies, thumbnails, file names, and technical details such as duration and dimensions.
Project data: project names, creation and modification dates, media references, clip order, trims, speed, crop, rotation, color adjustments, text, captions, music, transitions, export settings, and editing history.
AI session data: your messages, provider responses, editing plans, selected provider and model, operation status, and the associated project. Conversation history is saved locally when enabled.
Preferences and credentials: settings such as theme, export defaults, caption language, AI instructions, history preferences, and encrypted provider API keys.
Processing records: export and generation status, progress, error information, output locations, and remote generation identifiers used to check an existing result.
This information enables editing, reopening projects, applying templates, undo and redo, processing jobs, AI requests, and saving or sharing results. The App does not automatically upload your gallery or scan all of your media for cloud processing.
SoftCoderX has not integrated a separate advertising, behavioral analytics, or crash-reporting service into this version. Google ML Kit can collect diagnostic and usage information as explained below.
Import, trimming, merging, crop, rotation, speed changes, color adjustments, text overlays, audio mixing, preview, and export are processed locally. Using these tools does not require sending your media to an AI provider.
When you send an instruction, the App sends your prompt, relevant recent conversation, configured editing instructions, and project timeline metadata to your selected provider. Metadata may include clip identifiers, durations, trim ranges, speed, and output format. This planning workflow does not send source video, image, or audio bytes, or private device file paths. Connection tests and model discovery also contact the provider using your API key.
This workflow uploads the selected source video or audio file to OpenAI for transcription, together with relevant transcription settings. The entire selected source file is sent, even when captions are needed for only a trimmed portion. Returned text and timestamps are used to create editable captions.
The App sends the narration script and selected speech model and voice to OpenAI. Generated audio is downloaded and stored locally for preview and editing. This workflow does not upload a recording of your voice for cloning.
The App sends your text prompt and generation settings to Google, checks the resulting remote operation, and downloads the generated video. The implemented text-to-video workflow does not upload your existing source videos.
Segmentation of images and video frames happens on your device. ML Kit does not send the input images, frames, or resulting masks to Google. Its SDK may contact Google for maintenance and compatibility information and send diagnostics and usage metrics: device and app details, per-installation identifiers, latency, API configuration, input/output size, feature events, and error codes. Google uses these metrics to operate, maintain, improve, and protect its SDK. See ML Kit terms and privacy and ML Kit data disclosures.
Cloud workflows identify their provider and required input. Confirmation before external media processing is enabled by default and can be adjusted in Settings. Disabling repeated confirmation does not make a cloud workflow local. Avoid including sensitive information about yourself or others unless you intend to send it to that provider.
Media and file selection: Android’s media or document picker lets you choose specific items. The App makes private copies for durable project access; it does not request broad access to your entire storage library.
Internet and network status: used for configured AI features, provider connectivity, and SDK network communications.
Foreground processing and notifications: used to run and report long export or generation jobs. Notification permission is requested where Android requires it, and notifications can be managed in Android Settings.
Saving and sharing: completed exports can be saved through Android’s media storage or a destination you choose. Sharing grants the receiving app access to the file you select.
This version does not request access to your contacts, precise location, camera, or microphone.
Saved API credentials are encrypted locally using an Android Keystore-backed key and are masked by default. API keys are not stored in project records or conversation history, or deliberately included in application logs. They are transmitted over HTTPS to the relevant provider to authenticate requests.
Project media, the project database, and conversations use app-private storage; they are not all separately encrypted by the App. The App excludes its private data and credentials from Android backup and device-transfer configurations. Your device security still matters: a compromised device may expose locally stored information or credentials. No storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.
You can remove or replace saved keys in the provider configuration screen. Removing a key from the App does not revoke it at the provider; revoke it in your provider account if needed.
SoftCoderX does not sell your personal information through the App. Information leaves the device for selected provider workflows, SDK diagnostics, or actions you initiate such as sharing and opening external links. Providers can also receive network and request information, including your IP address.
OpenAI handles submitted instructions, narration scripts, or caption source files under its applicable API terms and data controls. Its API documentation states that API content is not used for model training by default unless you opt in. Retention varies by endpoint, model, account settings, and applicable exceptions. The App requests store=false for Responses API planning; this does not guarantee zero retention of all request data. Review OpenAI’s privacy policy and API data controls.
Gemini data handling depends on your service tier, account, and region. Under Google’s terms, unpaid-service inputs and outputs may be used to improve products and reviewed by humans; regional exceptions apply. Paid-service prompts and responses are not used for product improvement, but limited safety, security, and legally required processing may still occur. Google advises against sending sensitive, confidential, or personal information to unpaid services. Review the Gemini API terms and Google Privacy Policy. ML Kit diagnostics are described in Section 3.
Apps receiving your shared exports handle them under their own policies. Upgrade controls open the existing premium listing on Google Play, or the same listing in your browser. This App does not process a purchase or automatically unlock premium features when that link is opened.
Local data is retained while needed for saved projects, preferences, conversations, and processing records, until removed using the applicable controls or Android app-storage controls. There is no automatic expiry period for saved projects.
Delete a project: removes its project record, editing history, and associated saved conversations. Imported media copies remain in app-private storage because duplicate projects and processing jobs may share them. This version does not automatically remove unreferenced imported media.
Clear conversations: use the AI conversation controls or Settings to clear saved chat history. Turning off history limits future persistence; use the clear-history control to remove previously saved conversations.
Clear cache: removes cache and eligible inactive temporary processing files. It does not delete saved projects, imported media copies, or completed export videos.
Remove API keys: deletes the locally saved provider credential. It does not delete your provider account or invalidate the original key at the provider.
Clear Android app storage or uninstall: removes app-private projects, imported copies, local outputs, settings, processing records, and saved credentials. Save anything you want to keep first.
Exports saved outside the App: files saved to your device, document destination, or another app remain there after local project deletion or uninstall. Delete those copies separately.
Deleting local data does not delete information already processed or retained by an AI provider. Provider-side retention and deletion follow that provider’s terms and account controls. Stopping local polling or uninstalling does not guarantee cancellation of a remote generation request or associated charges.
You can use traditional editing without configuring an AI provider, choose which media to import, review proposed edits, manage keys and AI preferences, clear conversations, and control notifications. Use Android Settings to manage available permissions and app storage.
Depending on your location and the information involved, applicable law may give you rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, obtain a copy of your information, or raise a complaint with a relevant authority. Contact SoftCoderX with a privacy question or request. Since SoftCoderX does not receive a server copy of your locally stored projects or keys, managing that data may require the controls on your own device. For information held by an AI provider or another service, use its privacy request process as well.
If you contact us, we receive the contact details and information you choose to provide and use them to respond to your inquiry. Do not send API keys or unnecessary private media with a support request.
The App does not solicit children’s personal information or require a personal profile. External AI services have their own age and eligibility restrictions, which must be followed before using those features. Google’s Gemini API terms currently require users to be at least 18 and restrict use in applications directed toward, or likely to be accessed by, people under 18. See the provider’s current terms.
If you believe a child’s personal information has been provided through an App workflow, contact SoftCoderX and, where applicable, the provider that received it.
Your app-private projects and settings are stored on your device. When you use a cloud AI feature, the provider may process or store submitted information in countries other than your own. Locations, safeguards, and legal arrangements are governed by the provider’s applicable terms and privacy policy; the App does not guarantee processing in a particular country.
This policy page itself contains no advertising, analytics scripts, forms, or tracking cookies. The website hosting it may process server logs or use other technologies under its own privacy practices. Following a link to Google Play or a provider website makes that service’s policies applicable to your visit.
We may update this policy when the App’s features, providers, or data practices change. The revised policy will show an updated date on this page. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent before a material change takes effect.
