This Privacy Policy applies to the Android application PPT Edit: AI Presentation Maker (“PPT Edit” or the “App”), developed by SoftCoderX (“we,” “us,” or “our”). The App helps you create, edit, manage, present, save, and share PowerPoint presentations in PPT and PPTX format.
This policy describes the current App’s data handling. A document provider, a share destination, or an AI service you configure may operate separately and have its own privacy terms. Contact details for privacy inquiries appear at the end of this page.
The App uses information needed to provide the features you choose:
Presentations & selected images
PPT/PPTX files, their slide contents and embedded metadata, and images you select for a slide are read and processed locally for editing, previews, saving, and presenting.
Local file records
File names, file format, slide count, file locations, thumbnails, favorites, and created, modified, and last-opened times are stored on your device to manage your presentation library.
App preferences
Appearance, onboarding status, autosave, slide ratio, your configured AI service address, and its access token are kept locally. The token is used to authenticate requests to that service.
Optional AI requests
When you approve generation, your prompt, requested slide count, category, style, and tone are sent to your configured AI service. Prompts may contain personal information if you choose to include it.
Content reports
A submitted report contains the selected reason, your optional description, and the current slide’s text only if you explicitly select that option. The receiving service assigns a report identifier and receipt time.
Connection & support information
An online service necessarily receives connection information such as an IP address and request time. If you contact us, we receive the contact information and message you provide.
The current App does not include advertising, analytics, or automatic remote crash-reporting SDKs. It does not request your contacts, precise location, microphone, camera, or advertising identifier. It does not require you to create an App account.
Opening a presentation creates an independent working copy in the App’s private storage. The App reads the file you select and keeps its original source separate from the working copy. Editing, slide previews, thumbnails, autosave, and undo/redo processing take place on your device.
Image insertion uses Android’s image picker. The App accesses the image you select; it does not scan your entire photo library. Images added to a presentation become part of that presentation and can be included when you export or share it.
Core file editing does not automatically upload presentations, embedded images, or speaker notes to us or an AI provider. The App does not operate its own presentation cloud-sync service. If you open or save a file through a cloud document provider, that provider handles the transfer under its own terms.
Existing author names, notes, and other metadata embedded in a presentation may remain in exported or shared files. Review the file and its metadata before sharing it.
AI generation is optional and requires a configured HTTPS service. Before generation, the App identifies the configured service and asks you to approve sending your prompt and presentation preferences. You can cancel and continue using local editing.
The receiving service processes the request to generate slide content and perform content-safety checks. Generated output may also be checked for unsafe content before it is returned to your device. The supplied AI service uses OpenAI for generation and moderation; a custom service may use different providers.
No whole-file upload for generation. The current generation flow sends your prompt and preferences, not your PPT/PPTX file, embedded pictures, or speaker notes. Information you type into a prompt is part of the request you approve.
AI processing and provider retention are governed by the configured service’s practices. The supplied service does not intentionally log generation prompts or results, but provider security monitoring, caching, or other retention can still apply. This is not a promise of zero retention by every provider. See OpenAI’s API data-handling information when that provider is used.
Only send information you are comfortable sharing with the selected service. Do not include passwords, confidential records, or another person’s personal information without appropriate authorization.
The Report AI Content feature sends a report to your configured AI service only when you choose Send Report. The report includes a reason and any description you enter. The option to include the current slide’s text is off by default. No presentation file, images, or speaker notes are attached.
Reports are stored by the receiving service for review, safety investigation, and improvement of content safeguards. In the supplied service, reports remain until the service operator deletes them; there is currently no automatic expiry. You can request deletion through the privacy contact below or, for an independently configured service, through its operator.
Support messages and reports can contain personal information you voluntarily include. Please include only the information needed to describe the issue.
We do not sell personal information or use presentation content for advertising. Information leaves your device through the App when you choose an online feature or an external destination:
AI generation: approved prompts and preferences go to the configured service and its AI/safety providers.
Content reports: the report goes to the configured service for review.
Export and sharing: Android’s file picker and share sheet let you choose where a presentation is saved or which compatible app receives it.
Support: information you send to the privacy or support contact is used to respond to your request.
A recipient, email service, messaging app, file manager, or cloud-storage provider handles the information you send under its own privacy policy. Removing a file from PPT Edit does not remove copies held by these recipients.
Information actually held by us may also be disclosed when required by applicable law or a valid legal process, or where necessary to protect users, investigate abuse, or secure the service.
The App uses Android’s system document picker for user-selected PPT/PPTX files and the image picker for selected images. It does not request broad access to all files or all photos on your device.
Internet access supports the optional AI service. Android background-work components may use network-state, wake, and boot-related capabilities to schedule local maintenance, such as cleanup of temporary sharing copies. These capabilities do not provide access to your contacts or location and are not used for advertising tracking.
You can manage the App’s access and storage through Android Settings. Access provided by a cloud document picker or a destination app is also subject to Android and that provider’s controls.
Working presentations, thumbnails, file-library records, and preferences remain in App storage until you remove them or clear the App’s storage. Deleting a presentation from Files removes that working copy and its library entry; it does not delete the original imported file or a previously exported copy.
Undo/redo copies are temporary, limited in number and size, and cleared when the App initializes or changes the active presentation. Temporary sharing copies become eligible for background cleanup after seven days; actual removal depends on Android allowing the scheduled task to run. Temporary exports can be cleared through the App’s storage settings. Android may also remove cached data.
To remove the App’s local files, preferences, and saved connection token together, use Android Settings → Apps → PPT Edit → Storage → Clear storage/data, or uninstall the App. Back up any presentation you want to keep first. Exported files, cloud copies, sent reports, and messages already received by other services are not removed by this action.
The supplied AI service processes generation requests without intentionally saving prompt/result logs. Provider retention is described in the provider’s own terms. Submitted content reports are retained until the receiving operator deletes them, as described above.
The supplied service uses IP addresses for short-lived, in-memory request limits. Hosting services may separately retain connection or access logs under their configured retention rules. Support correspondence is retained while needed to handle the request and any applicable legal or security obligations. Contact us to ask about information we hold or request its deletion.
The App uses private Android storage for working files and local records. A configured AI access token is encrypted locally using a key managed by Android Keystore. AI requests use HTTPS, and the App does not accept a plain HTTP AI endpoint. Presentations are exposed to a share destination only through the action you choose.
Files and the local presentation database are not additionally encrypted by the App; protection also depends on your device’s lock, encryption, Android security, and access controls. Technical errors may be written to Android’s local system log, but the App does not automatically send those logs to a remote crash-reporting service.
No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Keep your device protected, choose trusted AI and document services, and share files only with intended recipients.
Use local editing without configuring or using AI.
Cancel AI generation before any approved prompt is sent.
Leave slide-text inclusion off when reporting content.
Choose which files and images to import, and where to save or share them.
Delete local presentations or clear App storage through Android Settings.
Contact us or your selected service operator about information sent to that service.
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a copy of personal information held about you. You may also withdraw consent for future optional processing or raise a concern with your local data-protection authority. We may need information reasonably necessary to verify and locate your request.
The current App has no App-account registration or account-deletion workflow. If an independently configured service maintains an account for you, its account and deletion process is separate.
PPT Edit is a general productivity application and is not designed to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has included personal information in an AI request, report, or support message, contact us or the receiving service operator so the matter can be reviewed and deletion requested. Parents and guardians should supervise a child’s use of online features.
Local editing takes place on your device. When you use an optional online service, its operator, hosting infrastructure, or AI provider may process information in a country different from yours. Review the selected service’s privacy notice for its processing locations and applicable transfer safeguards.
We may update this policy when the App’s features, services, or data practices change. The revised version will be published on this page with an updated date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent before a new use of personal information begins.
