Welcome to SoftAxes. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use any application published by SoftAxes on the Google Play Store. Our current portfolio of apps includes:

As we continue to grow, we may publish additional apps in the future. Any new app will either be covered by an updated version of this policy or by a dedicated privacy policy published at the time of its release. We will always notify users of material changes. By installing or using any SoftAxes app, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

Contact information (e.g., name, email address) when you reach out to our support team.
User-generated content such as invitation card designs, text inputs, or other content you create within our apps.
Preferences and settings you configure within any of our apps.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

Usage data: features used, session duration, navigation patterns, and in-app interactions.
Device information: device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and language/region settings.
Diagnostics: crash reports and performance data collected to improve app stability.

2.3 Information Collected Through App Features

Certain features within our apps access device hardware or sensors as part of their core function. All such data is processed locally on your device unless explicitly stated otherwise. Detailed descriptions of each permission and how data is handled are provided in Section 4.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information for the following purposes:

Service delivery: To provide, operate, and maintain the features of our apps.
Improvement: To analyze usage patterns and improve performance, stability, and user experience.

4. App Permissions

Our apps request only the permissions necessary to deliver their features. The following permissions may be requested across our app portfolio. Each permission is listed with the app(s) that use it, the specific feature it enables, and how any associated data is handled.

4.1 RECORD_AUDIO

Permission: RECORD_AUDIO

Apps: All Languages Translator Used to capture voice input for the voice-to-text translation and real-time conversation translation features. Audio is processed entirely on-device via Android's built-in Speech Recognition API. No audio recordings are stored on-device or transmitted to any external server by SoftAxes.

4.2 CAMERA

Permission: CAMERA

Apps: All Languages Translator Used to capture images for the Camera Translation feature, which extracts text from images using ML Kit OCR and translates it. No images are stored, uploaded, or transmitted to any external server. The camera is only activated when the user explicitly opens the Camera Translation screen.

4.3 SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW

Permission: SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW

Apps: All Languages Translator Required to display a floating translation overlay over other apps (Magic Translation feature). This allows users to translate on-screen text without switching apps. The overlay is only activated when the user explicitly enables it in the app settings, and can be disabled at any time.

4.4 FOREGROUND_SERVICE

Permission: FOREGROUND_SERVICE

Apps: All Languages Translator Required to run the Magic Translation floating overlay as a foreground service, ensuring it remains active and visible while the user uses other apps. This permission is used in accordance with Android's foreground service requirements for user-visible, long-running operations.

4.5 FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE

Permission: FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE

Apps: All Languages Translator Required on Android 14 and above for foreground services that do not fit standard foreground service type categories. The Magic Translation overlay service uses this permission to maintain the floating interface across all apps as a special-use overlay, in full compliance with Android 14+ platform requirements.

4.6 BIND_ACCESSIBILITY_SERVICE

Permission: BIND_ACCESSIBILITY_SERVICE

Apps: All Languages Translator Used to enable the Magic Translation accessibility service, which reads on-screen text from other apps so it can be instantly translated without the user having to copy or switch apps. This permission allows our accessibility service to observe the content displayed on the screen solely for the purpose of extracting text for translation.We do not record, log, store, or transmit any of the screen content read by this service. All text extraction and translation processing is performed locally on the device. The accessibility service is only active when the user explicitly enables it through Android Accessibility Settings, and it can be disabled at any time from the same settings menu. This permission is classified by Android as a sensitive permission. In accordance with Google Play policy, it is used exclusively to power the core Magic Translation feature and for no other purpose.

Note: As we add new apps to our portfolio, this section will be updated to document any additional permissions those apps require, in accordance with Google Play’s Data Safety requirements.

5. Third-Party Services and Advertising

5.1 Third-Party Advertising Networks

We partner with reputable third-party advertising networks to display advertisements within our apps. Revenue from these partnerships helps fund the continued development and maintenance of our free services. Our current advertising partners are:

These advertising networks may independently collect the following types of information, subject to their own privacy policies:

Device type, model, and operating system version.
IP address and approximate geographical location.
In-app browsing behavior and ad interaction data.
Timestamps of ad interactions.

SoftAxes does not share your name, email address, or any directly identifying personal information with these advertising partners. Their data practices are governed by their respective privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.

5.3 Opting Out of Targeted Advertising

You may limit targeted advertising by resetting your device's advertising ID or opting out of interest-based ads through your device's Privacy or Google settings. Opting out does not eliminate ads; it means the ads you see may be less relevant to your interests.

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

Service providers: Trusted third parties who assist us in operating our apps (e.g., analytics, crash reporting), bound by confidentiality obligations and restricted from using your data for any independent purpose.
Legal compliance: When required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
Rights protection: When necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of SoftAxes, our users, or the public.
Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred as part of the transaction, subject to continued protection under this policy.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These include encrypted data transmission, strict access controls, and regular security reviews.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security and encourage you to use strong, unique passwords and keep your device software up to date.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, or as required by applicable law. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us at the address in Section 11. Certain data may be retained for legitimate business or legal reasons after a deletion request.

9. Children's Privacy

SoftAxes apps are intended for users aged 16 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 16. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 16, please contact us immediately at softaxes.tech@gmail.com and we will take prompt steps to delete it.

We strongly recommend that parents and guardians enable parental controls on their children's devices and monitor their use of apps and online services.

10. Your Choices and Controls

Notification preferences: Manage notification types and frequency within each app's settings.
Advertising ID: Reset or limit your device's advertising ID through your device's Privacy or Google settings.
Permission management: Revoke any app permission at any time through your device's app settings. Revoking a permission will disable the feature that depends on it.
Data deletion: Request deletion of your personal data by contacting our support team.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our app portfolio, features, or applicable laws. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document and, where required, notify users through the app or other appropriate channels. We encourage you to review this policy from time to time. Continued use of any SoftAxes app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
