Journal-Article | ACS Applied Materials and Interfaces | DOI: 10.1021/acsami.8b18081
Nanostructured materials and inks based on Bi2Te3 and polymers are fabricated and the best ink for fabrication of micro-thermoelectric devices with optimised outputs is discovered. Devices are printed and characterised, and their performance is compared with numerical simulations showing an agreement.
Personal contribution: Numerical simulation of the fabricated flexible devices.

Journal-Article | Energy Conversion and Management | DOI: 10.1016/j.enconman.2018.05.030
The geometry of thermocouples, the basic element of a thermoelectric device, is deeply investigated via numerical simulations, such as the shape of the thermoelectric leg, height, etc..., with an optimal geometry being obtained.
Personal contribution: Numerical simulation of the different thermocouple and thermoelectric devices studied, experimental measurements of thermoelectric devices for numerical simulation model validation, data analysis and main manuscript writing. (Work carried out during the Internships at IFIMUP as an undergraduate student.)
